Leeds Utd v Brighton 15.00
England v Kazakhstan 17:15

Somebody in our party has taken the liberty of booking us into a Travelodge for the night, so it would appear that following the Albions glorious and inevitable victory at the cheating scum who reside at Elland Road, we will then have an evening of drunken DEBAUCHERY ahead of us, cheering on the Three Lions as they disembowel Borats finest at Wembley. Followed by christ knows what in Leeds city centre. Probably a beating.

Anyone ELSE making a weekend of it ? Be almost rude not to, I'd have thought.

Current plan 'oop north' is for the Brighton game to be on the Friday night. The ticket office at Leeds said they'd be making an announcement next week, but they've told the home fans to expect a Friday night game....

won't be postponed just because ingerland are playing, we've always played at 3pm on the sat when england are playing because mr bates is of the opinion club before country. will change if you or us have internationals called up etc obviously.

not sure where you got your info from yorks seagull but i have already bought a corp package to reward as a gift and it's 3pm on the sat.

tickets go on sale monday. £22.

I popped down to the club shop yesterday - I don't live far from the ground. They all seemed quite convinced it would be on the Friday.

understandable, that lot are about as efficient as your own ticket office. i hope it does change, am meant to be abroad on the 12th but mr bates won't do it unless there is a financial incentive in doing so. club before country and all that.

I bloody hope it doesnt change as weve booked our train tickets.

same with me. They even have it on the ticketing page of the Leeds website confirmed as 3pm on Saturday with tickets going on sale Monday so if they were to change the date why put these details up first

Because football fans in Britain are treated with contempt and total disregard?

That's hardly news, though.

Dont South Yorkshire Police have some say in the matter as well because of resourcing police officers if the game is switched to a Friday evening ?

just spoken to the Leeds t/o and was told although fixtures can be changed / postponed at any time, our game scheduled for 11th October at 3pm is still scheduled for then and not planned to be moved

Leeds better be prepared for 1000 or so small claims court actions for the price of train tickets, then.

west yorkshire police. and yes they do.

unless there are international call ups, the police request (highly unlikely) or the world ends the game will be going ahead at 3pm on the saturday, just as all our previous home games that have coincided with england games have.

bates is (quite rightly) of the opinion that club comes before country and knows that only a small portion of the people at elland road give a damn about england.

we'll be up the fri night but back home saturday.

i'v also booked my train tickets, because it said on their website it was on the saturday. surely they should have told people it was tbc or could of been moved, because i've also booked a hotel for the saturday so could be loosing about 80quid. Will others be asking for train money back off the leeds fans, although if they can change we are presumably not entitled, fingers crossed its a saturday.

Hate to tell you all this, but this has happened with a Leeds match for me. I planned a weekend away in Leeds with a Pompey supporter (yes, yes, I know...but whichever team lost was very likely to get relegated, so I was in a win-win situation) during Leeds' premiership relegation season, and well after everybody had bought their match tickets, booked their train tickets, B&Bs and so on, they changed it to a Sunday morning. So, all the south coast dwellers had to leave at about 2 in the morning, everybody planning to go by train on the Saturday had to either shell out for a B&B and get the return portions on their train ticket changed (at great expense), or give up their tickets. We had to change our plans (not our B&B, though, as we were already planning to stay on the Saturday night), for which we were charged £10 each by bastard GNER. I can assure you, there was no offer of compensation for any of the fans who lost out either financially or by not being able to go at all. It wasn't a cancellation, you see, only a rearrangement, and under the rules no apology or compensation was required.
