Leeds appeal dismissed !

I doubt this will really affect Leeds. They have still managed to sign Alan Thompson today!
It just goes to show that even with these sanctions that you can still run a football club poorly and get away with it. I hope they don't get promoted this season, then there will be some justice. The only ones I feel sorry for are the Leeds fans, they get one bad chairman after another.

we're a right set of bastards when we lose.

:lolol::lolol::lolol::lolol:

At least this part of the saga is over for the time being. A week ago, it looked like no football at all. Oddly enough, this decision will probably win Leeds far more friends and support for the future battles with Mr.Bates, and may well turn out to be a "blessing in disguise".

will wait until tonight i believe bates is going to make public the votes for and against. then we'll know which grounds to leave in tact next season ;)

just joking. if i were a fan of another club id be annoyed if we would have got off with no penalty but as a leeds fan of course i want us to do ok.

like barrel says. it was a very real prospect of not having a club at all to watch in two days time, the negative points are not the biggest of our worries. i do think there will be (rightly or wrongly) enough quality in the squad next season to keep us up and that is all we can really ask for.

there is still the high court stuff going on so this is just the end of one little saga.

bates wont be around forever.

revie was right when he said there was a curse at leeds.

I think if Leeds hadn;t taken the PISS by taking that 10 point deduction last season after their relegation had already been all but confirmed, they *might* have garnered a bit more sympathy this time round. But the fact that last seasons 10 point deduction was a complete and utter irrelevence means they;ve copped an even worse punishment this time round.

Thought you were pretty smart last May didn;t you BATES ? Well its come back to bite you now hasn;t it.

*snigger*

bit like the cva one was meant to be private as well.

Would it be too much to ask, for you to inform the Ledds supporters that it was indeed the residents of Falmer who voted in favour of the points deduction being upheld...?

I'd be very surprised if every other League 1 club hadn't voted to uphold the penalty.

Maybe they should have their penalty DOUBLED because they cheekily tried to appeal?

Well, it seems to have done yes.
Unless I am missnig something ?

he now has a debt free club, with a relatively good squad and several wealthy people lining up buy the club.

and that was what was behind this from the very start.

Quite. It has been mentioned before that Leeds have gone from bad chairman to worse, but as you say, the club is now in a relatively healthy position. He has played this perfectly and will end up alot richer than he was before and Leeds will be on their way back up the leagues. He took a huge gamble and the Football League blinked.

More than likely why the fans did not join forces to oust him... Everyone is a winner (apart from the creditors).
