Bearing in mind it seemed to have stemmed from a senior player calling his lack of effort out, I wouldn't worry too much.

RDZ isn't able to rectify the contract situation. Trossard, like Maupay, didn’t want to sign a new deal. We triggered his contract extension to preserve his value, he made it clear he wants to leave with dreadful performances on the pitch and in training. DeZerbi dropped him after his training ground antics.

Don’t see what else anyone could’ve done.

I’m not arguing that, just saying that the reason the 3 quoted left were because we got huge offers and they went to bigger clubs playing European football

Well it seems it was him having an altercation with a team mate and his attitude that lead to the criticism.

None of the other players seem that bothered by him not having been in the team as their play has been outstanding without him.

Disagree here, RdeZ is far from a 'fiery Italian' IMHO. Always comes across as a measured assessor sort of a bloke, albeit with demonstrable passion for what he does and is trying to do. Also the fact that Trossard allegedly told Lallana and Dunk to F off when they tried to reason with him, shows a more together attitude from all the other players. Trossard is out on his own here and deserves to be got rid of. No one bigger than the club and all that.
