As I said much earlier on in the thread (before getting accused of ‘binning’ him or ‘writing him off’ for saying so’🙂) , It would not surprise me if it were announced this window that an offer for Tross has been accepted by Brighton from Newcastle or even Chelsea. Although on Tross’s present form, a European club, like Madrid, might be more realistic scenario given his inconsistent performances - whenever he goes, and he will at some point, I still hope, he gets a Champions club because he’s certainly good enough and it would help Brighton’s growing reputation as a destination Club for young Champions hopefuls!

Clearly, with Ferguson and now Facu very possibly playing a central MF, our deep forward/AM is looking much stronger and even when Tross is playing wide, I think with Mitoma’s speed, agility and clear goal scoring ability, Tross’s place in the squad is not as indispensable as some people have been believing in recent days.
Why is Madrid more realistic on worse form. They are far better than castle and Chelsea and have proven they are better than any team in England time and again.

Well it would be stupid if it were true but no Brighton fans have ever said they wanted Tross to leave.

Some of us though are of the opinion that forcing players to stay at a club when they don’t want to is pointless and trust that the Brighton Coach knows more about what’s going on with Tross than the fans do and see him as one player in the wider context of the whole team.

If that makes us ‘stupid’ so be it 😂😂
Fair enough if you want him to stay. Sorry if I misunderstood. Not sure I did tho’

Firstly I rate Trossard, when he is on his game he is outstanding and certainly good enough to be part of a squad challenging for a CL spot.

Secondly however those on this thread saying the World Cup has effected him need to cast their minds back to …… well this time last year when he went off the boil and was in and out of the side.

Great player but inconsistent …. But it’s also his work rate that’s inconsistent as well as his performances which is exactly why RDZ has called him out.

Ideally I’d love to see him knuckle down and regain his form and place in the side as we are a better team with a on form Tross in it. But I believe he wants out so I expect we’ve now seen the best of him in a BHAFC shirt and he will be going through the motions until he gets the move it appears he wants.

I’m much more relaxed about a team without him than I would have been in August but will still be a big loss to the squad.

I tend to look at the team dynamic and sometimes Trossard doesn't appear to be a team player, insomuch as celebrating another player's goal.

The way Undav's was celebrated yesterday meant an awful lot to him, for an obvious private reason, and the whole team went out of their way to hug him. The goal itself was an irrelevance to the game but even Steele made the effort to run the pitch to him.

Trossard is possibly a complex person, he doesn't appear to connect his team mates, perhaps I'm reading him wrong.

Please point me to any of my posts on this thread (one which I started to celebrate his achievements!) where I have ever underrated Trossard or said I wanted him to leave - please stop twisting things.

I said if he wants to leave ( which is looking likely) I wish him well and hope he gets a Championship club because he is good enough!
I think he is much better than Championship level. On his day he would fit into a Champions League first eleven.

Think he might be a bit Maupay (and believe they were quite close). Introverted, intelligent guy who is perhaps not the center of attention at the Christmas party.

Calf injury. Didn't train Friday so missed Boro game.

I think you misunderstand. It's not an injury, he owns a young whale that was misbehaving.

Can’t be true - I read from the dozens of Twitter replies after our team sheet yesterday it’s because he’s signing for another club?

Incidentally, I’ve read similar on the Internet 100 times about Dunk.

But he doesn’t have udders - he’s a human. Only animals have udders. Used to call a girl at work udders after her boob job - she loved it 👍

Can't remember is this guy ever right?
Was pretty much THE source when he was at Sky Sports a few years ago. Nowhere near as reliable now.

"Verbal offer" could mean anything.

Levy - "Hi Paul, this is Daniel. We can see Trossard looks a little unsettled. Would a fiver and a set of tracksuits secure him?"
Barbs - "Get stuffed"
Pete O'Rourke - "Spurs have submitted a verbal offer....."

I really don't see where he fits in at Spurs either. Not as quick as Son or Moura, not as good as Kulusevski, very similar to Gil and not going to oust Perisic at LWB. It's a puzzling one.

I wonder what @Kinky Gerbils thinks or @Paxton Dazo ?

He used to be part of sky and was a bit more reliable and tends to go a bit early on rumours so would usually dismiss but with Trossards recent absence from squad could be interest and distraction behind the scenes.
