what does this even mean? either they rate him enough to bid in january, or they don't, there's nothing to be 'sped up'
They’d presumably be in a stronger bargaining position in a Summer transfer (if Tross doesn’t sign a new contract) but would run the risk of other clubs jumping in in January based on Tross’s recent goal stats. At least that’s the thinking isn’t it?

maybe but I don't see how saturday would've changed that. potter probably knows him better than anyone, I doubt they saw him score and suddenly thought "sh**, better get our skates on"

Don't try and ascribe meaning to football tweets.
You may as well try and work out Stoke's transfer plans from the remnants of a half drunk Bovril left on a shelf in the North Stand concourse.

Anyone worried about Tross leaving needn’t worry.

Remember, we have Tony ‘lizard’ bloom at the helm. The greatest poker player around and the no1 ranked transfer dealer in the world.

So absolutely no way he’ll just bend over if Chelsea offer £50m in jan.

I was worried about Biss and Cucu leaving.

Yes, he got the best part of £100m from the pair departing and we now have cover in their positions but it’s goals I’m worried about this time with Tross off. Who on earth scores if he leaves?

I don’t think we have anyone in the squad to step up yet and get the goals we need to remain in the top half. So it’s the transfer market we’ll look to. That’s going to be incredibly hard.

That's the trouble. Andy Naylor had to drink half the cup to make it cold enough for him to scribble his thoughts on it. No idea what he was doing in the North Stand!

One thing is for is for certain if we are to keep him we would probably have to blow any existing pay structures in the club.

For the time being we may have to do that as there is no ready made replacement in the squad and signing equivalent quality is out of our reach in todays market

There is zero evidence to say trossard is off.
Maybe the fact that he’s not signed a new contract is just down to negotiations

Trossard is obviously off. It will be the least surprising transfer ever.

He's at the point in his career where is most likely to get a big money move. He won't be signing a new contract here.

The big question is, to who and how much?

I'm going to go with Newcastle - £20m.

Probably bullshit, but his agent wouldn’t be doing his job if he wasn’t trying to find a move. Personally not sure I can see it. He’s a very good player, but not sure he’s a ‘premier league’ top 3-4 player

How can he be actively being offered considering he has two years left if we take the option on him?
Maybe the player has indicated he wants to move, and the club are attempting to shift an unhappy player?

He has been playing with a face like a smacked ass for the last 2 games. I suspect he wants out.
He hates the cold / dark. Look at his record for us between first week November & end March !

Why the question mark?

"offered to Liverpool". Right, so bloom phoned up Liverpool saying 'he's really good, definitely worth an offer'.

No.

And no, it doesn't count if it's the agent, as the agent can't offer him to anyone.
