Bollocks. Although I agree he hasn't got a chance your last sentence is bollocks.

Brilliant constructive argument. I'd advise you to buy the end of season DVD. Crofts, an attacking midfielder who has played virtually every single match, has set-up about 2 goals all season. If that. This is not an exagerration, please tell me the last goal he directly set up. He's a decent player but to suggest he is one of the best midfielders in the division is RIDICULOUS. If he was, we wouldn't be in the position we are in.

Just out of interest, how do you rate Dicker?

So the player who is called the "League one steven gerrard" isn't worht a shout? And were in the situation were in because our defence was leaking goals for funzies. Our attack, on the whole, hasn't been too bad. Slade was sacked after a 3-3 draw, we've been scoring, just not ddefending.

I think crofts is worth a shout, him or bennett. Or Calderon if he's eligable.

Dicker, who has spent a lot of the season in the holding midfield position or marooned out wide, is a more gifted footballer than Crofts and his range of passing is lightyears ahead of Crofts. However, Crofts has a better work-rate and in recent weeks has been the better of the two.

Anyway, where did I say that Crofts was no good? I just did he wasn't good enough for any of the top League One sides. Which he isn't. So stop being a bunch of tabloid journalists and wind yer necks in.

Who on earth called him the "League One Steven Gerrard" ?

Is that your principle criterion - how many assists he has?

Jesus.

I forget who, but i saw it somewhere quoted.

ANd as for yoru assist thing, i think you'll find he'd get second or third assists, although he isn't last to pass the ball, he'l pass to the last person to pass teh ball. that breaking up of play that navarro does at the back goes a little more unnoticed because he stitches play's up with a pass.

Just an opinion like, i thought he's been one of our best players and one of the best midfeilders in the league.

No, I'm saying that an ATTACKING midfielder who has scored a limited amount of goals and very rarely plays incisive through balls or directly sets up goals is probably not good enough to get in the Leeds, Charlton, Norwich, Swindon sides etc etc.

What the f*** is so unusual about that?

If he was playing these great through balls and people were missing chances - or not making the runs - then obviously I would adjust my view about his lack of assists. The through balls aren't being played. For all his qualities, his passing range is very limited.

But I'm sure the likes of Leeds and Norwich will be desperately scrambling for his signature and offering us millions for him come pre-season.....

I wasn't criticising your opinion of Crofts, it's just your evaluation of him pretty much matched what I would say about Dicker and so I was interested to know what you thought of him

I feel bennett deserves a place in the matchday squad, but wouldn't make it onto the pitch, obviously biased though
