Ewan bravely manages to hang on in there, but two big name DNS's today in Roglic and Magnus Cort Nielsen.

Another exciting stage in prospect that could go either way between break, reduced bunch sprint or proper sprint.

Luca Mozzato ftw :)

Fiveways
That was phenomenal by Matthews.

I can't remember a ride like that - when he's reeled in, dropped, seemingly broken...but comes back to catch and drop Bettiol.

And then the Pogacar/Vingegaard battle. Wow. I thought, earlier on in this race, that Pogacar had won it by about stage 5.

This is a truly great TdF.

Agreed. Unfortunately I'm going to miss the last few days of it.
Close seasons are great in getting a break from football. TdF and Test cricket more than compensate.

Terrible luck for JV. Kruijswijk crash and abandon. Beenot and Vingegaard crash but back up.

Meanwhile, we have a race on. The pure sprinters put out the back by Trek on this climb, yes, even Kirby's 'he can get up hills' Groenewegen

All setting up quite nicely for a Mozzato victory

And now sterling work from Gougeard keeping the pace up for Mozzato to ensure the pure sprinters don't come back.

Pogacar emboldened by the Vingegaard crash?

Eurosport called this a quiet stage, being pre-Pyrenees.

That'll be Kirby calling it quiet so he can talk about his book again. He'll be gutted now

Eurosport team still reckon the breakaway two “have a great chance” of taking the win.

I’ll stick my neck out and say the peleton will catch them.

Stat on the Strat has more chance of staying away than these two.

Mozzato had to go around a caught Benjamin Thomas in the closing few hundred yards.

That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it.

Lovely post race interview with Philipsen. Means the world to him.

Very well deserved. Chapeau!
Beats another WVA win and Mads already has his stage.

Still, that's another one Merlier would have won I suppose
