I know I live up here in the Borough of Hillingdon, but we have one of the best refuse, green waste and recycling collection services in London.
Obviously my council tax pays for all of this, but it has not gone up in six years.
The collections are weekly.
Cannot see why local yokel councils charge extra for other services.

Lewes is a law unto itself. They do as they please round there. Absolutely lovely town, plenty of great boozers just the council would like to turn it into one of those places where you have to be approved by a local committee to move in. "It's all for the greater good"......

i think you're just being obtuse - why combine bottles with the rest of the recycling? the council dont. the majority of people in towns and country would probably have green waste. when i think that farmers grow grass, with the cost of seeding, fertilser and cutting, i'm finding it very odd that apparently we dump grass to landfill, and pay for the privilege. if find it even more odd that this appears to be accepted. i'll save my ire for if my council try to charge me.

Where does it say that councils do that?
