Fair enough, that explains it! We had 10 days in Naples and the Amalfi coast not long ago, and agree that it’s a beautiful area and a very vibrant city, even if the parking leaves something to be desired. Too chaotic for me at my age to consider living there but I can absolutely see why it could be thrilling for a youngster. You are right in being one of the best run clubs in Serie A is not a high bar, one of the reasons I love Italian football is the 'characters' they have running the clubs there and De Laurentiis is certainly one of those characters! In fairness to him though he has done quite well with Napoli over the years and made some good business and football decisions. He is an absolute tight arse though and after upsetting Spaletti and losing him, his last two managerial appointments (Garcia and Mazzari) have been cheap disasters. They've still got a very good squad though, money to spend and if he gets his next appointment right (probably Conte), I expect them to be back up there again.
I am biased though as I love Italian football, Napoli and Roma are probably my two favourite clubs after the Albion and the Amalfi Coast is my favourite place in the world!
