FFS Another F. Up by the Woke Leftie BBC, which us licence payers are forking out for.

That's quite a charge. That's bloody hilarious

WTF is LK doing interviewing the failed PM Johnson anyway? The bloke who's wreckless behaviour lead to tens of thousands of unnecessary covid deaths.

Should be in prison, not promoting his new book on a public service broadcaster

Well I'm sure this will give the accusations that she's always been too cosy with Tory politicians absolutely no fuel whatsoever.

Even if it's not evidence that she has been well in the No.10 sphere in recent years in a way which brings her role into disrepute, such flagrant incompetence should not be simply brushed off by someone paid so much of our money to do her job.

Translation: "I sent Boris a copy as I always do but this time I accidentally CCd my team."
Yeh, this is certainly possible. This time she got found out, or someone confronted her and she had to go public. Makes you wonder if journo's do this all the time to get the interview in the first place

Or quite possible also it was an accident, but she didn't have to go too deep into her contacts to find Boris email address. Maybe she contacts him quite regularly

Why is Boris Johnson being interviewed anyway? Surely these days he's an irrelevance, other than as a historical curiosity?
From his point of view, he's got a book coming.

From the BBC's point of view, it's less clear. But I think we can safely say he has friends in high places within the organisation

Bills to pay. Indeterminate number of mouths to feed. Etc.

One small edit for accuracy and transparency

With rumoured £8-10m income from various grifts he doesn't need the cash.

But he does need to try and re-write history with his book, LK's platform on the Beeb aided by Lord Rothermere at the Mail is a great start

You’ll notice my like and knowing nod in agreement. Whilst simultaneously being very unhappy with Labour since they got in. Most of us in the middle are completely disillusioned with the lot of them and have been for a while.

With the Tories trying to focus on a new look, I should think the last they want is Boris Johnson hijacking their airtime and still preaching his failed mantra.
The four candidates for the Tory leadership also seem to be focusing on what they need to do to regain the voters that have moved towards Reform. Whereas what they should be doing is moving more to the centre ground to try and regain the massive number of voters who have moved to Labour. Unfortunately for the Conservative Party, they just don't get it.

The longer Boris keeps popping up and stirring shit into the Tory pot, plus Farage doing his bit by dividing the right, the more time it gives Labour to sort our country out.

The Labour strategists must be loving the Tories current battle plan.

Not so sure. He's a man with significant outgoings as well. With his Mrs taste for the finer things and god knows how many private school fees still on the other side of the ledger, I wouldn't put it past him to be doing £10m a year

Who he appointed.

Re-establishing the BBC's political independence should be a high priority for the new Culture Secretary. Lisa Nandy knows what needs to be done, as evidenced by her piece for Labour list when fighting the 2020 leadership election: https://labourlist.org/2020/02/i-wi...tive-and-accountable-to-the-people-it-serves/. Let's hope being in government doesn't change her views about the need for insulation from political influence.

Absolutely spot on. And they’ve done this for ages, keep edging further and further right until there is an appetite for it, then act shocked someone else is doing it “better” than them (in the sense of winning that vote).

They should be going back to old fashioned calm Conservatism to have any hope of recovery any time soon.

Nutters throughout the rank and file of the Tories.
