Upstairs at the Greyhound in Croydon? 1977? No pogoing on account of the well-spongey floor that was always likely to fall through?

I used to go to all the regular punk hangouts in Brighton. Also up to London for places like the marquee and Music Machine. Great days. Now Wendy Wu of the Photos was a bit of a babe

Used to have a thing for Helen out The Chefs. What a sweetie! Great nights out at the Alhambra and the Buccaneer. She used to write me from her day job in a bookshop in London Town and I'd write back.

Went to see her at the Concorde a year or two back. She didn't know me from Adam

Tho, to be fair, I'd add that her solo set with a trainee celloist was totally unlistenable pretentious shite.

She'll have been disappointed with that set

Tom, Tom, Tom.
I have no problem with you carrying a candle for some bint I've never heard of.

But if you EVER describe someone writing to you as "she would write me" again, using that RIDICULOUS nonsensical trans-atlantic vernacular, then I'm afraid the next time I see you, I will have to beat you to death with your own shoes.

She would write TO me, Tom.
TO me.

Picky Easy

And no, Helen would NOT write to you. As you have admitted to not knowing aforementioned Helen. She would, however, write THPP
