What I said previously was that I wanted to see what their policies were and I did - but these are all shoot for the moon policies and I just don’t see it happening…. If you do all well and good but you should read what the party are saying and they are NOT saying this is all going to take 10 years at all … the fact that you are saying it will not happen in the first term makes me think you don’t actually believe any of it either

Only time will tell but after me banging on about when will we see the manifesto on here for the last 6 months - what I have seen here is just borderline fantasy electioneering:
2 million extra nhs appointments
Go from building 200,000 houses a year to 300,000
Nationalise an industry
and best of all , your bills will go down 🙄

My personal belief is that none of it will happen BUT ….that doesn’t make me a Tory mate!! You are simply wrong about that

Well, you've got two options:

1. Don't vote at all; or
2. Vote for the policies and direction of travel that you consider to be best, even if the policies aren't fully achieved.

Amusing that this thread is titled “Labour Meltdown…”
Yet once again, it’s the Tory supporters and right wing gammons on here who are having the meltdown.

Simply marvelous.
and yet the post immediately above yours is a squabble from one of your red comrades.

I think I am simply jaded with politicians.

I’m practically at the point where I just don’t believe anything they say.

Doesn’t matter which party, I just don’t have any faith in the wild claims being made. I have to wonder if they believe it themselves?

I’m not against Sir Keir in anyway and I certainly don’t believe any of the promises the Conservatives are making.

It’s just awful though isn’t it? What a load of absolute rubbish.

I know it is common policy on NSC to say that ‘nothing will happen in the first term’ and that it’s the fault of the previous Government etc etc…..I’ve even seen it said it will take 2 terms - or more!

Here’s what I don’t think will happen:
Any of it.

I don’t believe there will be:

1.5million new houses
A nationalised rail industry
An extra 40,000 hospital appointments a week every week
A solution to immigration

and the one that has finally tipped me over the edge … electric bills are going to come down because of the new Great British Energy Co.

Good grief.

Does anybody actually believe that electric bills will come down ?????

Have a word with yourselves

And yet almost half your posts on NSC are on political threads. "The lady doth protest too much, methinks"

Simply a comment on your post above, I have no idea of your actual political views

It’s just a phase WZ !! 😊 I’ve always enjoyed politics… I can remember watching ‘The sheep that turned’ speech as clear as day even now ….. they were absolutely rammed into the house that day, standing round the speaker’s chair!!!

When I was posting here for months and often strongly debating with yourself and HWT about where’s the manifesto where’s the policies…. It was all genuine mate, I can assure you- I was so keen to see the new direction the country would take. Still am. But honest to God, WTF????? We’re going to spend 140billiin on green energy etc etc all the policies that I outlined earlier…that’s not what I’m looking for to be honest unachievable pie in the sky vote for me vote for me rubbish

Show of hands … who’s in favour of cheaper electric?? 🙄

Anyone who doesn’t think they are all the same simply needs to remember the last few… Heath Wilson Callaghan Thatcher Major Blair Brown Cameron May Johnson Truss Sunak …. Can anyone at all pick a top 5 out of that lot???

I'd literally just copied that very line to include in a post that there seemed to be an expectation that you really 'should' have pm'd by now. Then I saw your post. The post to @Weststander really wasn't very pleasant and was totally unnecessary (y)

Water off a duck’s back btw. My reaction was …. I’ve a weird online stalker, who can’t hack it that people won’t accept vile hate that goes against his one-eyed view of the world. I’ll always call out antisemitism.

Funnily enough I very nearly added that it would be water off a duck’s back for you 👍 And agree about calling out antisemitism 👏

I would personally pick every single one of the first seven over the last four

And if you really think there is dishonesty in this current campaign, then I would suggest you listen to Heseltine. For any politician to try and explain how to rescue the current economy without mentioning Brexit is the greatest lie of them all.

But you have to play with the hand you are dealt

I would personally pick every single one of the first eight over the last three

Heseltine was brilliant on LBC this afternoon. Still highly intelligent and measured (not hysterical) about the EU, also immigration. He sees the big pictures, solutions, feasible timeframes.

At Uni in the early 80s and went thru the miners/v Maggie strikes. I’d still take the Tory cabinet of the 80s over the colossally horrendous version of the Tories over the past 13 years. And I’d take Cameron over the Kunt Johnson and the utter f*** ups that’ve followed. The Tories need a generation in opposition, at least.

But this is it. It's not Red v Blue anymore, it's way beyond that. It's the most dishonest, corrupt, narcissistic, self serving and incompetent Government in living history v something else, anything else whatsoever

You can extend it beyond that if you feel like it. Hop over to the Tory thread for literally years of clownish, right wing incompetence or the Israel thread if you want to see the same people arguing over the same thing.
