I’m changing my view of Starmer from being thoroughly uninspired to gradually seeing he has a quiet determination to shape labour into a party that will not only win this GE (the easy bit) but future elections. Like Blair, he recognises that Britain is predominantly centrist and that is where any party needs to be to deliver positive change. He doesn’t have the celebrity personality of Blair or Johnson but that’s a good thing in my book.
I just wish i was in a constituency that makes it worth voting for him!

just vote tory
It's 'Tory'.

As a political term, Tory was an insult (derived from the Middle Irish word tóraidhe, modern Irish tóraí, meaning "outlaw", "robber", from the Irish word tóir, meaning "pursuit" since outlaws were "pursued men") that entered English politics during the Exclusion Bill crisis of 1678–1681.

You can extend it beyond that if you feel like it. Hop over to the Tory thread for literally years of clownish, right wing incompetence or the Israel thread if you want to see the same people arguing over the same thing.
Or any of the Potter threads, RDZ threads, Trump and Starmer threads or many of the other numerous political threads …Don't think one or two threads on NSC have the monopoly on discussions going round in circles with the same people arguing ad infinitum.

Cant disagree with you there, think Parody Rishi put him and this Tory government to bed long ago.

Not sure there is too much argument over there right now, it all sounds absolutely horrific. I'm sure everyone would want peace.

Somehow missed this - apologies if already posted.

Israel has a shadowy camp in the desert with horrific conditions

I think it boils down to substance over personality. Johnson's reign should be a defining moment that personality alone is not good for the country.

Cut and paste this from Sky news:

Sir Keir Starmer has said "wealth creation" is his top priority in an election pitch to the middle class and middle ground.

"The first step of my Labour government will be to create economic stability, which means getting a grip of the spiralling welfare bill that's gone out of control under the Tories.
"We will set about, within days of a future government, reforming work support to get more people into work."

Is he really leader of the labour party?😂

Steer calmer.

We have the dreadful Helen Olivia Bicknell Whately down here, a massive wrong-'un but with a 63% share of the vote last time. The website that knows suggests my vote is best located with Labour so I won't feel conflicted when I vote this time, at least.
