Care to provide one example of an "Anti white working class" propaganda poster or that Livingstone has commissioned any religous building?

Yes, anybody who had the misfortune of living in one of the Loony Left boroughs like Haringay, Hackney or Lambeth.

This is the side of the man I've seen, crooked little turd.

I seem to remember cheeky chappy, newt loving on HIGNFY just as much as Boris, cuddly Ken, seeming to want to welcome with open arms Gerry Adams and Sein Fein while he was the leader of the GLC. Just about the same time that Gerry Adams and his mates were murdering people with their bombs.

There's a host of reasons I don't like him and that's just one. The way he decided to let Londoners subsidise others on London Transport is one. Letting kids travel for for free on London buses was another. He ultra left wing politics reminded me of that utter scumbag Derek Hatton in Liverpool although he's not that bad. However the rumours that the best way to get a well paid job in the GLC was to be a one legged, gay, afro Caribbean woman still hang around.

Spot on!

Not to mention his weekly column he's had in the Standard which he now uses just to slag Johnson off every single f***ing week.

And to think the bloke had the cheek to stand in front of thousands of people in Trafalgar Square after 7/7 condemning the terrorists despite the fact that he had been in bed with terrorists doing the exact same to London throughout the eighties!

Like Galloway, Livingstone seems to have a fanclub with a certain number of deluded people because of their media savvy and general all round good TV performances, yet underneath it all they are very dangerous politicians because they appease our enemies, by supporting such groups as the IRA, Saddam Hussein, dubious Islamic organisations etc. and are manipulated by such groups.

That would be the same Sinn Fein that now sits in a power-sharing government in Northern Ireland?

What KL said was that the war against the IRA was unwinnable and that British politicians had to talk to Sinn Fein. History has revealed that he was 100% correct and both mainstream Labour and Conservatives came round to this view.

So what if they sit in a governement in Northern Irealnd what the heck has that got to do with the GLC and London which was what should be Livingstone's concern as that was his job at the time.

No you have just said that.

In 1982 Ken Livingstone invited Gerry Adams to come to London.

Gerry didn't come because one year later the IRA bombed Harrods in London instead and then two years later bombed The Grand Hotel in Brighton.

Without getting into the politics of who should be London Mayor. (I don't live there, not my business).

I always felt that the word Buffoon was invented for Boris.

Willie Whitelaw was talking to PIRA in the early 70's and there was a "channel" to the security services throughout The Troubles. Livingstone was simply pointing out the truth that the situation would end in talks and an agreement which is exactly what the GFA is.

Yeah, I think that was a bone-headed thing to do.

I don't want to be an apologist for Livingstone because he can be a total cock sometimes. He's certainly got some dodgy Islamic friends. But he was 100% correct when he said tube privatisation would be a disaster and he was 100% correct on the need to talk to Irish republicans.

If I lived in London, I'm not totally sure I'd vote for him but people should have valid reasons not inventing things like support for the IRA or commissioning Islamic buildings.

I agree sometimes wars cannot be won/lost and a negotiated peace (and behind the scenes) is the answer but as he was secretary of state for Northern Ireland Willie Whitelaw was in a position to negotatiate on Britains behalf.

What mandate apart from his own aganda or his own deluded ideas, did leader of the GLC Ken Livingstone have to invite over the very people whom were bombing and killing his fellow Londoners. Does Ken think he is in a position to negotiate a seperate peace for Londoners only and not the rest of Britain!

I wouldn't take that as read the Evening Standards viewpoint anymore, since it's under new ownership. They even did a quite critical self reflecting piece about their own sided pro-Boris campaign.

On a separate note, I often have a little chuckle at the people on here who have an opinion who is best for London without even living or working here.

What do you mena by 'in bed with terrorists'?

I remember the 80s and the IRA and the 'we wont dont talk to terrorists' stuff and the dubbing over of Gerry Adams voice by an actor (?). Did it work?

No.

What did work to bring about peace in Northern Ireland?

Negotiation.

Did Ken Livingstone ever say 'I support terrorists'

No.
