Smith was the only starting player (along with Dickinson) who played well today. Made endless quality saves, and blameless for the goals. Keep the shirt.

Not entirely blameless-as has already been mentioned. Had a reasonable game though and probably deserves to start on Friday.

Obviously, I disagree - as has already been mentioned! It was a wonder goal, albeit one enabled by weak defending (Crofts, Navarro and Elphick).

So being at least 12 yards off his line for that goal was sensible goalkeeping? He was as much to blame as the defenders.

You mean the defenders who all let the player run straight past them, thus leading the chance in the first place?

As a former keeper, i believe Smith should keep his place. The back 4 will be patched up on friday due to suspension and injuries, so he will be on a hiding to nothing. Cut the errors out in midfield, ie no tackling and get some shape in front of the back 4 ie Dicker must play, then we will be going in the right direction. Time to win ugly at Millwall, then move on .....

of course there could be more signings by friday....

Smith made some brilliant double saves yesterday, he looks good at going down at a players feet when needed and his kicking is faultless. However he was clearly at fault for their second goal by coming way off his line when he had absolutely no need to do so.

It's a tough one, but I think I would let him keep the shirt for Milwall.
