Bennett was absolutely quality, got on the ball twice and one time set up a goal, second time very nearly did.

Thought he was quite light weight and pushed off the ball too often.

Bollocks. Dickinson TRIED hard but was absolute pap, his first touch is dreadful. Bennett was absolutely quality, got on the ball twice and one time set up a goal, second time very nearly did.

Double bollocks. I thought Bennett was the trier, but was only very sporadically effective. Did quite a good Seb Carole impression all in all, but I'm sure he'll come good. Dickinson's touch was fine for the most part, and it was a cracking strike.

The 2nd goal, he was standing around the penalty spot, with the ball mixing around just outside the box. It was obvious if a Stockport player won it, Smith would be lobbed.....

shall we just ignore the fact that everyone in front of him let the guy run most of the pitch and stood back?

Actually, that was just one of many times, and he did get caught out. He did about 7 good saves.

I'd pick Smith as I felt he did little wrong. As for the second goal, he was off his line as the player had a clear shot at goal as our defender had gone to ground. He could either stay on his line and hope the guy didn't hit the top corner or narrow the angle. Unfortunately, he narrowed it too much! The goal was still the fault of the defenders and not the keeper.

Can't blame smith for the 2'nd goal, with the way that prick was running through our players he probably expected him to skin the rest of them. :glare:

I've never had sympathy for any of Michel's rivals before but I'm going to stand up for Smith here. He was like a lamb to the slaughter on Tuesday and (slightly dodgy positioning for the second apart) today he couldn't have done anymore. For now, he's got the shirt so I'd give him the chance to continue and hope that he gets the chance to show what he can do without defensive chaos in front of him.

Someone has hacked TCB's account.

I Agree with every word whoever it is.

Bloody hell, he must have done well if your backing him

Smith has to keep the shirt. As someone else said, one of few Albion players to come out of the game with credit today. Made some really good saves and distribution is good.
