Dunkin Donuts are the best doughnuts and coffee in the States – with Tim Horton’s a close second

My vote would go to Tim Hortons...easily the best donuts and coffee in Canada!...if you want a cup of tea and cake then Second Cup is hard to beat.

Is that official ? I would have thought anything at all deep-fried and covered in sugar would be 500 at least to start with.
217-358 per doughnut according to their website (I checked because it seemed a little low to me also :) ).

I don't like them myself.

I've never really liked doughnuts that much. My prep school used to make their own and the deep fryer was shared between the dough treat and the home cooked fish. Not a great mixture, if they weren't going to bother cleaning it properly. :nono:

There seem to be 230+ KK outlets now. Not particularly fast growing, but worrying nonetheless.

Tescos do aweful doughnuts - don't know about early morning (who would want one then ??) but they're hard and stale the rest of the time.

thats why you get there early in the morning when they're warm and fresh and haven't been sitting there sweating like Peter Beardsley's balls all day

That surely can't be including the stands of Krispy Kreme in pretty much every Tesco Metro/Express and many service station WHSmith I've been in. The growth has been fast. I wonder if I ran the company though, that I'd really want to expand to such an extent that people would realise what a thoroughly average product they were buying for a ridiculously inflated price.
