He was caught dodging the train from brighton to hastings when the chessy bits were due to support the Pirahnas on the pier. Eventually was released got to the pier 9ish and persuaded Nicky and the dots to cut their set short andd then the band played 3 songs, or maybe just did 3 versions of mama we are all crazy now, and blew everybody else on the bill including the pirahnas away - punk rock man

they lived at sackville rd hove mid/late 80s still going strong and play europe and the states alot.

I seem to have some silly idea that a teacher from my school was in the band, was any of them a Mr Murray?

I so want to go gigging with every last one of you that replied to this thread.

As it happens I'm off to see Black Rebel Motorcycle Club on Sunday. Anyone else going?

Nope, but seeing The New York Dolls on Friday.

The Geezer on the right left in early 1990s to concentrate on teaching, But i dont think his stage name was Mr Murray (Boggles) aka Mark Denman

At school we were well into them, one guy called Sean was mental about them, think he even played guitar for them for a short while

A good fun cover here too

First proper band i saw back in the early 80s 84 i think ! in some student bar in Bolton with the krewmen supporting them and i got the shit kicked out of me, as i got mixed up in a manchester / bolton psychobilly wreckin crew gang fight or something. Guana batz played the new garage in islington last week and were shit !! worse ive ever seen them.

I do not know much about them except my brother played with them (bass guitar) in the early eighties. Dont sound much like my thing really but he always did have bad taste and did not really sell out until about the mid eighties so i rarely liked his music that much. However he did get me in on a night out with that bad manners bloke once (buster blood vessel?) so for that i thank him.

Anyway seems like a few of you liked them and that made me smile seeing this thread and thinking of him (he died in 1989) so thanks
