Funny isn’t it Potter fans said they didn’t blame him for taking the Chelsea millions.
Well, we earnt several million pounds out of that deal.

Random player from another club? They either want to be here or they don't. If they'd rather earn more money somewhere else they can do it massaging Satan's prostate for all I care.

But according to our sources on here it was RDZ who somehow scuppered the deal in January. Obviously I haven’t got a clue what the truth is but it's clearly not a simple process if you haven't got the financial clout to effectively force the deal through.

As said before, PB admitted recently that (TB/he) ultimately made the decision to sign no players beyond Barco in January, believing the injured players would return in February.

Going by football stories on 30 January Maresca was furious that KDH might be sold, looks like their board caved in, a few hours later Maresca started him in a vital evening win over Swansea.

Sadly, Sussex-born-and-bred lads aside, there won't be too many young footballers out there who are dreaming of Brighton & Hove Albion being the pinnacle of their burgeoning footballing career.

To most, we're a gateway to the Premier League and the increased exposure that brings, enabling them to put themselves in the shop window for a subsequent move to a "big club".

TL;DR - not many footballers will truly "want to be here".

I dunno all seems a bit strange and panic purchase from Chelsea (if it goes through). The bloke wants to stay at Leicester

Kudus very much ticked that box. Perhaps alone, for that reason alone I wasn’t upset when West Ham gave him everything he wanted.

The fact that it was the recruitment team after him rather than the manager makes me really think it was a last minute panic to copy our transfer strategy. We joke about it, but seems pretty clear that there is something strange going on.

W@nkstanley would definitely keep a close eye on our moves, our transfers record based on data is amongst the best in Europe.

Don't give a xxxx either way if he signs for us! If he wants to be the next Danny Drinkwater crack on! Can retire young and piss his career away.

How angry would you be if you were a director at Leicester, if Chelsea now don’t complete the deal before the deadline.
Basically Chelsea entering the fray and then rejecting the deal would have scuppered the only chance of Leicester meeting the PSR threshold.
Points deduction incoming, and their player of the season last season staying when fans know the player wanted to leave to go to Chelsea, a transfer kitty suddenly depleted.
It’s the type of shit storm that only Chelsea can create.
We can now turn our attention to Minteh, Malick Y, Gomez and Wieffer, getting the Minteh deal done for a steal this weekend.

West Ham socials full of supporters fretting he might already be eyeing the exit, so much for beating us to his signature.

At least they'll still get to watch Paqueta.

Until he gets banned for three years, I mean.

If they had got wind of our coach from St Pauli they would have been all over it, you can see why we let them appoint a manager first considering they showed immediate interest in McKenna.

I'm not that fussy, I'm quite happy to accept "want to be here right now, for the benefit of their own career in the long run".

If somebody's got millions of pounds more being waved in front of their nose in the here and now, they probably don't fall in that category, as you say.

I can read two bloody sentences for God's sake. :lolol:

That is their policy. They don't have our data, but know its generally good.

They hear we're genuinely linked, they hijack and throw more money.

That is a key plank of Chelsea transfer policy.

Follow Brighton and hijack their targets.
"a key plank of" is superfluous in that sentence. It seems that Boehly and Winstanley's entire policy is simply to buy whoever they think Brighton are about to buy.
