Would be very funny if Leicester rob Chelsea

That's the flip side of Chelsea's silly, over priced and far too long contracts. It going to make it really hard to convince any contracted player to leave for less money and shorter term contracts. It would be funny if they fail to land KDH because they can't convince anybody else to go the other way.

I don't think Maresca will be doing himself any favours with the Chelsea players.

Look at this signing from Conor Gallagher's viewpoint. He's said he wants to stay and fight for his place, that he's not interested in playing for Spurs or Newcastle (so turning them off him) and now Maresca wants KDH. What price loyalty? And even if Gallagher keeps his place then one of £100m Fernandez or Caicedo will be left out and get the hump.

Then you have Chukwuemeka, Ugochukwu, Lavia - the 3 of them hardly kicked a ball all of last season. Where do they fit in? And Ecuador wonderkid Kendry Paez who is already an established international and will expect game-time.

There's no doubt that Chelsea squad is packed with talent but a bloated squad has cost both Potter and Poch their jobs. Here, Potter couldn't keep everyone happy, while it took Poch too long to transition the 10 in, 10 out flurry of player activity last summer.

It is the fairly recent trend of leaking transfers on the Internet that makes these things seem so bad. I suspect this stuff always went on we just didn't hear about it until the cheesey photo was released by the club. We were all happier in those days...

Also we have been trying and often failing to sign players for years. VVD, Lukaku, Nunez, etc.

That’s a great point … click bait works a treat … we all fall for it, wildly swinging from excitement to bitter resentment in a matter of seconds.

It’s horrific, but it makes the protagonists exceedingly rich.

Absolute bastards.

Be equally as funny if he doesn’t get sold and Leicester fail FFP and get another points deduction on top of the one already on the way

Follow him missing a few sitters at the Amex followed by the obvious rendition of “that’s why you’re going down”, “should have signed for a big club” and “you know what you are”

Glorious stuff

Not sure I agree.

The Chelsea manager knows and clearly rates KDH as he managed him last season!

Also Lavia is a completely different type of midfielder.
Maybe we should put a bid in for Lavia now that the new boss has Enzo, Caicedo and KDH at his disposal, and very likely to be surplus to requirements. He was a decent midfielder (from memory!)

I agree. The difference now is that the chase for profits is in full view. We have (I think) created a corporate persona of being "businesslike" "hard to play" but when it comes to it I suspect we just don't like paying the market rate

I'm sorry but I think some of us need to stop wetting ourselves over KDH. Yes he was good in the Championship (probably his best level) but was pretty poor 2 years ago albeit in a struggling Leicester team. He's not worth £40m in a month of Sundays and only a moronic club would pay that sort of figure (like a Chelsea).

The club will have other targets out there and I for one don't think this is great loss - especially if we can keep Gross for the last year of his contract.

We need to be all in on a right back as our No1 priority, and then a more sensibly priced midfielder who actually wants to play for us, rather than someone willing to sit on the bench at a bigger club counting his dough.

Who sets the market rate? Americans, Abu Dhabi, Saudis?

going by Twitter is seems that our favourite transfer ‘guru’ may not have been telling the whole truth about a medial being booked in.

Yeah he was superb at Saints
Overrated in my opinion, consistently lacked positional sense and decision making from what I saw. Saints took a massive risk by replacing a solid experinced DM in Romeu with the inexperienced Lavia. I feel this was a contributing factor to their relegation.

Yes Lavia has potential, but I don't think he was as good at Saints as people make out. Nathan Jones called him out at one stage if my memory serves me right.

I think Romano only said Moder was having a medical at Leicester, so hadn't actually lied.
