That isn't what I said. From the previous post, it seemed like Weir was simply promoted without the post even being advertised, and that he is useless because Chelsea have gazumped us (again)

Not strictly true. Weir was promoted from loan manager to Ashworth’s no2 before taking over when Ashworth left.
He was only Ashworth no2 after Ashworth resigned though right ?
No, he was in the role before Ashworth went and before there was talk of him going. Pretty much the same way as Mick Cave is Weir’s no2 (and recruitment manager since Jewell left)
