Who is the "iconic PL pundit" Garth Crooks?Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers 'fits bill' for Brighton says iconic Premier League pundit
It’s very annoying that we’ve seemingly missed out on the manager who was surely our first choice. We can't just blame United and Chelsea though, we put all our eggs in one basket and then completely screwed it up. With all respect its an incredibly poor run of events.
Who is the "iconic PL pundit" Garth Crooks?
See the earlier post on this thread from the Ipswich fan as he lists things like input into training facilities etc etc. It's about being given the freedom to be involved in everything that could affect the players etcPerhaps the best thing is if you say what you think McKenna does as a manager that RDZ wasn't expected to do?
Yeah, Chris Wilder is a shoe in for the Barca job.As we have just seen with Kompany, getting relegated does nothing to lower your reputation, he would be stupid to leave Ipswich.
Do we actually know whether we approached KM?? Seems to be a lot of assumptions that he was our number one target but nothing concrete to back this up. It's possible that he was never of interest to us.I think it's all been such a shame. Imagine that the last couple of weeks had never happened - we'd all be really excited for the new season, with everyone back.
Bugger.
Have to say I’d be very nervous about the RDZ of the last few months being the man who took us into next season. You cannot have a loose cannon as manager/coach imoI think it's all been such a shame. Typo - should say "ironic"...Who is the "iconic PL pundit" Garth Crooks?
should say moronicTypo - should say "ironic"...
Well I'm pretty sure that the Albion consult the manager/coach when making changes. As for the other things, I'm not convinced but then I'm not going to trawl through 99 pages to try and find this Ipswich fan!!See the earlier post on this thread from the Ipswich fan as he lists things like input into training facilities etc etc. It's about being given the freedom to be involved in everything that could affect the players etc

I'm starting to think the succession planning was all a bunch of horse shit!.
Here we go again. How on earth do you know McKenna is 1st choice? You don’t. You’re jumping to conclusions by accepting rumors as truth. It’s very annoying that we’ve seemingly missed out on the manager who was surely our first choice.
However, Bloom and Barber never put their eggs in one basket. You know this.
I think with this much smoke, there's a little fire but I also believe he'll have been far from the only name on the list. Not sure how he could be our 'number one target' as so many are claiming. We might have liked his style but until we'd actually spoken to him, how would we know whether his view of the future and our own would align. Some reports said we spoke to him or his representatives last week. Nobody knows whether that increased or decreased our interest.Do we actually know whether we approached KM?? Seems to be a lot of assumptions that he was our number one target but nothing concrete to back this up. It's possible that he was never of interest to us.
Yeah, I'm with you. Even before RDZ was mentioned two years ago, there were two or three other names being bandied about, one I think I'd even heard of. If KM is as good as people say he is, of course he'd be on a shortlist of 4 or 5 at least, but Paul Barber has said (BBC Albion podcast I think) that they always have a number of people and players on perennial shortlists, for whenever the need arises.Do we actually know whether we approached KM?? True…My take on this McKenna guy:
If you get Ipswich promoted from League 1 and then straight up from Championship as well, you're good. Likely really damn good.
Good to the degree that many clubs would be incompetent if they weren't trying to sign him.
