My mate has told his boy who is 9 he aint taking him Tuesday, cos of the risks involved specially right outside the ground and the lack of segregation on the day...

Wise choice, or a bit over dramatic.

He can see it being a nightmare around the ground..

Few tears bless him, but Ipswich away will be his 2nd away of his life, that seemed to soften the blow

what are your thoughts on kids going??

I dont really want to take my lad and he is 27 but can make his own mind up. He couldn't knock the skin of a rice pudding so I suppose he will be ok for Tues.

Taking two of mine, 12 and 15 and have invited two of their friends too. Will be fine, just need to remind them not to be too loud on the way in. It's going to be absolutely rocking and they would be royally pissed off to miss it.

My 8 year old is going. I see no reason why not, he also needs to see the passion for himself so he can truely see rivlary in football and i don't mean violence. But the atmosphere will be cracking and what football should be about. i have spoken for years about why we dislike Crippled Alice so he wants to find out why and would be a bit hypocritical if i denied him his birth right.

This is Crystal Palace not the SAS. They'll be too busy trying to find parking for their caravans to do anything.

I took my son to Wycombe away when he was eight and ended up in a scrap with another fan who pushed him over in pub. It was another Brighton fan! (adult). So who can say what might happen. My answer is to take kids , cousins, ex wives, grandparents, dogs, cats etc etc. They will all want to be able to say that they were there witnessing the huge/historic thrashing palace are going to receive.

I really cant belive all the scare mongering. Sure its our derby and there are bound to be a few little scuffles here and there but I dont think it will be a major problem. Its not as if its Millwall/West Ham or Celtic/Rangers......All the morons and people still left in the 70s/80s should just all meet up at an underground car park or something and kick the shite out of each other, if that flicks your switch and leave the game and stadium to the people who just want to go and watch a intence game of football.

I'm not taking my kid, upgraded to grown up (well if you can call the bloke I'm taking a grown up).

I think it will be just a bit too lively and also means I can have several beers more than usual

Cant let your kids miss out on the first ever Brighton v Palace game at the amex, surely? just leg it one at full time and dont stare at them for too long.

I've also heard a rumour that if you stand still they can't see you.

Did you miss the game when the pub outside their ground was torched? Also, when we played them on a Saturday and met in Clapham,
that went right off. I'm not condoning but to say it won't happen 'because we're not in Glasgow' is nieve.

They actually LOOK for parking rather than just parking up where the hell they want, I think you might be being more than a little generous there :)
