Bidvest are a massive player in the catering world, being one of the two dominant forces in the market ( Brakes, the other ) They have national contracts in the public and private sectors and numerous distribution centres. The KFC contract involved 900+ outlets, so was significant and even for a company the size of Bidvest, the loss would still have been felt.
It is absolutely staggering that KFC should take the business away from a renowned food specialist, with a good track record and give it to DHL, a company that trades mainstream and barters on price.

I personally couldn’t give two shits about KFC having to close, I think I know the franchise owner of Burgess Hill, he also owns maybe two more, he’s all about profit so this little episode will be a stark reminder of quality over costs!

The irony is it was the Labour Party circa 1978 who created this “underclass” you speak off!

Jezza will not sort it out and neither will any other politician. There is no inclination to do so. The Establishment are keen on social divide and relish the ever widening income gap. The disadvantaged underclass are only interested in securing the best possible deal for themselves, by hook or by crook. Their mindset is the same as politicians. They have no interest in national welfare and live a quotidian lifestyle of the mundane and the trivial. They feast on fast food, reality tv and celebrity gossip. Its crass and its ugly and is only going to get worse.

Yes we are.
There was an experiment tried a few years ago ( 1933 -1945 ) to remove all manner of social underclasses and create a society of pre-selection but it was nipped in the bud.

Unfortunately, the same group have moved into the logistics business, but haven't quite managed DHL with their 'legendary' efficiency!

Nobody is talking about the impact this fiasco will have on DHL. I'm not excusing KFC management but when one of the world's biggest distribution companies is sat there telling you they can handle your chicken logistics and save you a fortune it must be quite persuasive.

The real idiots are the DHL management who promised to deliver something that was always going to be undeliverable because they don't have the distribution centre infrastructure. Having a brand new bit of untested software that crashed didn't help them either. Staggering incompetence.

How on earth did they ever think that they were going to get all that chicken in the van when it's already full of parcels.
Pleased it's not worked out it would have only led to the vans being driven around like lunatics and inappropriate parking even more so than now.
