Love a motorway service station KFC Boneless bucket on the way home from a football away trip... but I always go for the one cooked by the chap/chapess with hair.
Genius. He basically invented the genre long before Gervais and Merchant even thought of The Office.Kev the Ape! And his KFC unrequited romance with co-worker Becky being the subplot to the main narrative arc - mostly centred around his training, his uniform and the ridiculous shifts he got lumbered with.
Dripping in unintended pathos and pure gold from beginning to end. Didn’t he name his threads ‘The Wedding Zinger.’?
My now local KFC is the worst one in the whole of Western civilization - which is nice.
I make a +12 month pilgrimage to said establishment just too check and it never fails, by always failing.
Whereas the local KFC where I previously lived was always decent and easily the best local fast food.

KFC in Japan - A Christmas Tradition
My kids told me about this and I thought they were talking rubbish.
But it appears the Japanese do love having KFC at Christmas time and are happy to pre-order and then queue for it.

By all accounts the KFC there is amazing, as is most food to be honest.
This is due to very strict advertising laws which require the image to look exactly like the product provided. Their fast food (say, a Big Mac for example) is shown to scale so you can see its actual size, toppings etc.
Most menu items come with a picture in restaurants, so you can see what it should look like and they’ll make it like the picture.
In most of the world including Britain, they do all sorts of stuff like glue the toppings in place, use plastics, push all the toppings to one side to photo it - it’s really eye opening.
In Japan they aren’t allowed to do any of that or make it look bigger than it is. This is the same for cakes, crisps, everything

There are French Fries and there are Chips.
They are not the same thing.
One is served in fish & chip shops and is the back bone of our great country. The other was invented in Paris in 1783 and then copied by American fast food entrepreneurs such as “Big” Ron MacDonald and Harland "Colonel" Sanders exporting the product around world labelled as ‘freedom fries’.
Oh, and Sanders carries a ‘piece’ so I’d be very careful what I said about him on here:
