i know most dont like polls, but i thought because of the two kerry mayos thread that this should be put to the poll.

As much as I think Kerry has been a good solid defender for the Albion over the past few years I think it was right to drop him. He wasn't playing well, and dropping him should hopefully make him work that bit harder at his game, fitness and all round attitude. Also a few games in the reserves may bring his form back.

Nothing wrong with healthy competition.

Competition for places is a must. Harding had a chance and he took it with both hands, good luck to him. I think Mayo would be the first to agree with that.

I agree. Without competition for places those in possesion of a first team place would get complacent and that is no good for the team.

If Harding got injured Mayo would be trying so hard to make an impression when he got back, he would be playing like he did last season when he got runner up for Player of the Season.

Don't write him off yet.

That is stupid. He should be trying to play like that all the time.

No-one can maintain form permanently. I agree competition for places is a great thing. It does eliminate complacency and sharpens up their skills.

He should always be trying to make an impression.

There is a difference between form and effort put in.

I still think he's more useful going forward than Harding.

Though I can't argue with the stats that we shipped 41 goals in Kerry's 37 games this season and have only conceded 8 since Dan took the left back birth 12 games ago.

Mayo's a total liability IMHO. He has no pace, is guaranteed to make mistakes, cant pass, head, tacke, or dribble.

why do people think he is any good??? Is it because he is a brighton fan??

BRING KERRY BACK, I know I quite happily claim to be his number one fan, but I really do miss him and I would rather have him on the pitch than Dan Harding.

I actually thought Kerry had his best ever season for us last. This season goes down as one of his worst I'm afraid.

In the past Kerry has always come back stronger after a spell in the reserves. If he gets a chance from McGhee, I'm sure he'll do the same again.

It's a shame he has to have a bad patch and get dropped by every new manager, though.
