I forgive you, after all, 'to err is human'.. Everyone makes mistakes, Governments, organisations, society and individuals. I just hold the view that it is wrong to 'shitstorm' the Government at this time.
As the Times says,'There will be plenty of time for a full public enquiry into mistakes.'

There’s a difference between making mistakes and dithering though, a huge difference. And the biggest complaint is Boris’ dithering. Pretty much everything he is doing is later than it needed to be. And the only way to make him speed up is to create a ”shitstorm” so he reacts.

Of course he could. His initial address to the nation for the lockdown was him on his own in a room. He could easily have a single camera-man masked up and suited if necessary to take an address, or as you say just use a video link like everyone else is. Completely hiding unless of course his symptoms are a lot worse than is being reported.

People in care homes are not even being tested, nor being admitted to hospital, so won't be included in official figures.

In a world of increasing social equality, I think Labour have completely messed up not appointing a woman and went for the perceived “safe option”!

As I replied on the good news thread regarding testing if we'd moved quicker to test NHS staff first and isolate and test the contacts of known cases second we'd have saved lives. Look at South Korea. That, and the lack of PPE has come not from the government's advisers but from a complete failure to order the tests and equipment. We've bunged the country trillions into debt without spending on the right things. A shit show.

Unfortunately [MENTION=13368]BLOCK F[/MENTION], many 'top' medics and scientists are not really 'top' at all, but are instead consumate politicians, charmers and, indeed, bedazzlers. So, yes [MENTION=616]Guinness Boy[/MENTION], decisions what ought to be scientific or medical are quite often merely political.
