Lies, damned lies, and statistics.
However, anyone who saw Bart against Germany must think he has earned the gloves for Sunday

Should have had Verbruggen in goal for most of the season.
I've barely posted in the last month and can't remember the last time I wrote anything about our keeper (although I think I've been consistent on rotating keepers being a bad idea).I’m sick of your complaining
Lay the reoccurrence of this topic at de Zerbi’s door, not NSC’s.Oh God. Not this AGAIN!

I've certainly never complained about Steele because I think he's a sound guy and has done well for us (and not just because of my massive and open pro-North East bias).
I thought you might be, but the keeper rotation is just about the only thing I do sometimes moan about.I was joking. You seldom seem to criticise RDZ’s decisions.
What is there to protect, they just stand still for 90 minsInteresting piece by ex England keeper Karen Bradsley on our keepers. Her take is that we perhaps rotate keepers to protect Bart, ease him in gently.
Brighton set a new Premier League record - but can rotating goalkeepers really work? - https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/68657908
She also says it time to make Bart the No. 1Interesting piece by ex England keeper Karen Bradsley on our keepers. Her take is that we perhaps rotate keepers to protect Bart, ease him in gently.

This, and I’ve been saying it since the Wolves cup game.We should start prepping for next season now. Give Bart the gloves for the rest of the games.
Is Bart ready or is Steele no longer Premier League ready? That was an interesting read.
I can see the merit of rotating initially as any young keeper makes mistakes and the fans call for the safe experience keeper to come back in.
Bart or Jason offer very similar ability and I can see how coaching them on something and allowing Bart to watch Jason in matches has helped to develop specifics.
However I feel Bart is now ready and I hope he is our number 1 for many years to come
I think Steele is comparable to several other goalkeepers playing in the Premier League. Is Bart ready or is Steele no longer Premier League ready?
Despite enjoying the frothing mouths on here, I don't have really have a problem with Steele.I think Steele is comparable to several other goalkeepers playing in the Premier League.
