The welfare state has never been universal healthcare, people pay for prescriptions, dental treatment and people are financially assessed for ability to contribute for social care. If some people are able to pay which can enable more resources to help out other areas fine by me. The only person playing the disabled child as pawns seems to be you.And that's what Katie Price does. She's paid in taxes, her son's care umpteen times as has David Cameron. And it's worth re-iterating that the benefit iscfor the disabled child.
The welfare state is universal healthcare or it's nothing. People who begrudge the state helping disabled children of wealthy parents are by definition against the ethos of this. Actually, they're playing a petty class war using disabled children as pawns in their game. Nice.
Okay. What about any healthcare then? Are they entitled to any free care? And let's not stop at healthcare. How about education. Should rich people be allowed to send their children to state schools? That's utter garbage. It's nothing to do with class war, it's the fact that there are many people in desperate need, one of which is not Katie Price.
Sorry but not having that. I'm not the one saying that David Cameron and Katie Price's children shouldn't get state help. The welfare state has never been universal healthcare, people pay for prescriptions, dental treatment and people are financially assessed for ability to contribute for social care. Popbitch once revealed that she refused to use tax avoidance schemes. She has savings accounts and that's it. Apparently somethings do with her dad not trusting these avoidance schemes.

A newspaper article condensed Being Jordan in the style of the original. It's like reading Tolstoy....
I've been called a slapper, a freak and a bimbo. But there's more to me than that: I'm also obsessed with celebrity. This is my story.
I had the happiest childhood any girl could want. My dad left when I was three, but I never missed him because he had never been around much. My mum was amazing and I was thrilled when she met someone else and had another child.
By the time I was 13 years old I knew I was destined to be famous, and even though the first photographer to take glamour shots of me turned out to be a paedophile, I was determined not to let anything stop me from becoming a model and a pop star.
My first boyfriend was called Jeff. I made him wait a month before I let him have sex with me. I make everyone wait a month to prove I'm not easy. Except for the blokes I shag a bit sooner! Jeff had a small willy and I never really enjoyed the sex.
Modelling for the Sun sent my career stratospheric, and I decided to trade in Jeff for a boyfriend more fitting to my celebrity status, and soon I ended up with first a Gladiator and then Dane Bowers, a pop star from a band no one remembers any more. I hate the way both men have betrayed me by selling their stories. I would never do that. Both men had rather nondescript willies and they made me partake in unusual sexual practices. I should have left both earlier, but I'm a very loyal woman.
I want this next bit on the record. I've had three operations to enhance my breasts. They look lovely and I've never regretted it, though my back's started to play up a bit.
I nearly went out with Teddy Sheringham, but he went cold when the papers found out about us. I did meet David Beckham, though. He held my hand while Posh wasn't looking. She's really rough without make-up.
My career was going from strength to strength, and I started dating Dwight Yorke. He was a real pig. He didn't fancy me when my legs were heavily bruised from liposuction. Then I found out I was pregnant and he didn't want to know. So I went off to do a Playboy shoot. All the bunnies shave their bush, just like me, and they all said how natural my breasts look. Then when I was six months pregnant I started shagging Gareth Gates as it looked good on my CV. He had a small willy.
I was gutted when I discovered Harvey was blind, but felt sure he would have wanted me to go to LA to publicise my Playboy shoot. So I did. I was very distressed when paparazzi took photos of me, wearing a bikini, leading Harvey on a horse.
I'm a Celebrity was amazing. Peter Andre is the man of my dreams. He could launch my pop career. I'm tired of being "the girl who gets her tits out". Maybe it's time to drop my knickers.
The digested read ... digested
The only time you'll feel sorry for Dwight Yorke
World of difference between needing a service which we both agree on and who pays for it especially when the system is not universal in giving out free care services across the board. If an old lady at home has savings of over £24k has to contribute to any services she receives,I don't see why a wealthy man like Cameron, who incidentally is part of the rule making inequities, or Katie Price a multi millionaire, should be treated differently.Sorry but not having that. This article is about 8 years old
Apparently her son Harvey needs a daily taxi to school, accompanied by a nurse. This, according to Price, is "paid for by the government" (ie you and me).
When challenged on this by Katie Hopkins, in that perhaps she could probably afford to pay for this herself privately, the response was "that would be f-king ridiculous, it would cost up to a grand a day!". Quite apart from the slightly dubious claim of it costing THAT much, this is coming from a multi-millionaire (estimated fortune of £40m), who will pick up the thick end of £150k just for loafing around in the CBB house over a couple of weeks.
How, in the name of Holy Guacamole FRIG, does she qualify to have state-funded transport for her child to school ? Seriously, I have not the words, and this has sent me to bed angry. Could she not sell her tacky pink Land Rover, or one or two of her horses to help with this heinous expense ? Well, apparently not.
I know its my own fault for putting CBB on tonight, and I'm not proud of it. But I was bored and faintly curious, and that plastic vacuous slut just made made jaw drop with this off-the-cuff revelation.
UN. Believable.
The question of universal benefits is one I struggle with, as is the 'I put in so I should claim back' argument.. As we know, the poor of the country are on their knees right now, use of food banks is rocketing, those in the most need are being persecuted at every turn and Katie Price's son is being accompanied to school by a nurse in a private car - That's not the socialism I sign up for....
There are lots of ways of getting the rich to pay their fair share but denying their children the same rights as other children is incredibly poor form.World of difference between needing a service which we both agree on and who pays for it especially when the system is not universal in giving out free care services across the board. I don't get this irrational almost foaming at the mouth hatred of Katie Price. I have a lot of time for her, if I had a large set of tit s I would have done the same and made my fortune, alas I have not so am stuck being a mortgage broker
That's a fair point in relation to children, the point I was making is that people think there is free access to health care when in reality many are financially assessed based on savings and house values. The pressures on local governments are also pushing many of the assessment criterias to be revised, I would rather have those with the ability to contribute to pay their fair share. Obviously I realise others take a different viewpoint. There are lots of ways of getting the rich to pay their fair share but denying their children the same rights as other children is incredibly poor form.
You mentioned prescription charges earlier. All children get free prescriptions, they also get free dental and eye care. Are you also against Harvey Price enjoying these courtesy of the taxpayer because I see no difference in giving free transport to hospital for severely disabled children and giving them free prescriptions.
