I used to have a bit of time for her until I discovered first hand (well second hand though my wife) the truth behind exactly how much effort she puts into looking after Harvey. Put bluntly, her mum does everything.

I disagree, I think you will find that Katie feeds Harvey every day, admittedly it's Fanta and Monster Munch, but it is something!

Cameron is a hypocrite as he was only too keen to claim every penny he was entitled to in benefits but demonises other people doing the same, he didn't need the money for his child care costs but still claimed it the same way he used the parliamentary expenses yet paints others as the enemy.

Why should her son not get it, it isnt here that is receiving the benefit of the taxi etc? He /she is entitled to it more so than some layabout man and wife with 10 children whocant afford to work as they would lose money. Harvey isn't a multi millionaire, so he shouldn't be treated differently.

As much as I find Katie Price a Frankenstein's monster of recent times, and her wealth and fame is due to suckers buying her celebrity and endorsements, she is entitled to claim assistance for her son's upbringing as is any parent.

I'm all for debate about the vacuous nature of her lifestyle, but we live in a society that has universal rights in terms of education and healthcare, so why shouldn't her son be a recipient any more or any less than the child of parents from a poor family?

If you don't believe that the NHS should provide such a service, and instead should be privatised, the answer is simple #VoteUKIP

The NHS was set up Bevan to provide universal health care for everyone in this country, regardless of their background. It has been the cornerstone of this country in the post war period, although it has been chipped away by both parties in power when it suited them, the central commitment of if you are sick we will treat you has always been applied.

Your view is that a 13 year old child with severe disabilities should have his care provided for by his mother, rather than being given support by the state on the grounds that she is wealthy. I'm merely disagreeing.

However, there is an alternative to that now being put forward by a senior member of one of the political parties.

I would only question why Harvey needs to go to London every day for special schooling because I am surprised that there isn’t anywhere locally that can provide the same service. It cannot be that much fun for him, in his condition, to spend 3-4 hours daily in a car. So the logistics of it is a problem for me if there is a better alternative.

With regard to the money it is costing, it doesn’t go into her pocket, it goes back into the system via the people who are employed for the service provided, and then they themselves are taxed on their earnings. The money isn’t really lost, it is distributed and recycled through the UK’s economy.

For all of those advocated that the rich shouldn't get state handouts because they can afford to pay for it themselves, I offer the following argument to the debate.

Katy Price HAS paid for the taxi and nurse to get her son to school. She pays the UK government a considerable sum of money (and even if she has an army of tax specialists minimising her liability as a percentage of her income, it still represents a significant pound amount). I would wager in fact that she pays in a single year more than most of us would contribute in a working life.

Does this mean, for example, because she could pay for Harvey to be taken wherever he needs to go, that everyone who has sufficient funds to pay should never get free treatment from their GP or hospital,but should always go private?

Rubbish, the benefit system is not universal unlike the NHS and if you can afford to pay then you should pay and if you have tax advisers and thus not paying your fair share even more so

At least the slapper is paying her taxes in this country (I assume anyway) unlike Lewis bloody Hamilton who smells a bit of success and ****s off to live in Monaco.

The grand prix season is 10 months long including testing, and his girlfriend lives in the States. Therefore, I doubt whether he actually spends more than 90 days in Monaco in any given year. I'd probably do the same if I was him.

Katie Price seems to me to be a good mum compared to some. She's not always flaunting herself in public, but she has to earn a crust. She's got five kids which is quite a school run to juggle. Harvey is severely disabled. He's blind, he's autistic, he has trouble walking. Who wouldn't need to ask for a bit of help under such circumstances?
