I hope not for him. If it was a Champions League team offering anywhere near that I would accept that Kaoru may well want to test himself at that level, and he'd go with my best wishes. But he really shouldn't be stepping away from top level football at his age, regardless of money.

I agree BUT sadly in this modern world MONEY talks. Hopefully Mitoma won't want to go anyway.

We are not paying anyone £300k+ (what Duran is going to get as a far less renowned player). Ultimately, everyone has a price. Mitoma is already supposedly one of the top earners, if not the top earner at Brighton. He could go to Saudi for 2 years, and earn the same amount he could in 7 years at Brighton and still have enough time left in his career to make another move back to Europe or Japan.

I have no idea what Duran is like on a personal level but I imagine the decision making process of a 20-year-old Colombian from a humble background will be quite different to that of a 27-year-old Japanese university graduate.
