My son was watching it last night in his student local in Liverpool and was telling all his Gooner and Spurs mates that Mitoma has the finest first touch of any player in the Premier League at which point they all laughed at him. Five minutes and that goal later, and they conceded he may have had a point.

Nice timing. Casual viewers might think it had an element of luck (sun shines on a dog's arse etc) but Mitoma does indeed have the best touch. He does it all the time.

Adringa (copyright Warren Asprinall) also has a great first touch.

BN1, in GOSBTS
A couple of nights ago, I was doing an overnight in Hanoi, and flicking around Vietnamese TV they made a point of showing the goals (with a few angles of THAT goal) followed by a shot of a morose looking Maresca! Couldn't make out a word of what they were saying but clearly impressed. Keeping me going until home when I have both Chelsea games recorded to enjoy!

You know when art enthusiasts cream themselves at someone throwing some noodles over a poorly made bed like it’s some incredible insight into humanity. Mitoma’s touch is like that for us.

I was thinking about this earlier watching MOTD2. In the stadium, I wasn't as awed by the take down in real time, as we see him do similar week in week out. I almost expected him to control it, albeit more central and difficult under pressure than when he's out on the wing. The fact he then buried it was the real buzz for me at the time.

It was only after seeing it replayed I realised just how special this was.

Fella in front of me shouted out "Why are you playing the ball backwards"or words to that effect when it reached Bart. Less that 10 seconds later it was in the back of the net at the opposite end!

He’s such a lovey modest man. You can see when his touch is compared to Bergkamp he slightly reacts, you can see he’s flattered by that even though he shouldn’t be as his touch is equal to anyone who’s ever played.
Love him.
THIS, in spades

here is another matchday vlog, from one of our japanese visitors, so the focus is a little toward what Kaoru is up to. I liked a bit that I had not seen in any of the other matchday clips, where when our ray of sunshine, Georginio, does his fake faint at the third goal, Kaoru goes over, I assume to see if he is ok, when seeing he's fine joins him, which was lovely (probably just going over to celebrate with him, but I choose to interpret it my way). (clip saved at time stamp to save scrolling)

Nice. Thanks.

One of the comments, translated:

"It’s here! Thank you for your always valuable videos! Mitoma hugging Jorge! I couldn’t stop grinning when I saw it for the first time"

Also...

"This is the first time I've seen a video from the station. Brighton is a beautiful resort town."

Wait, this one (from 2 days ago) has 270k views!!!

Includes Mitoma slo-mo. Arguably as good as the pro shots. Lovely stuff!

"You can be proud for the rest of your life saying, “I saw that match on the spot! I captured that moment on film!”
