Maybe NOT protesting is the way to go (or maybe not) – there was wall-to-wall coverage of what JSO were going to do at Silverstone, but funnily enough, when nothing happened, there was hardly a murmur. The only thing I heard was a brief reference to it from the Scottish reporter on SSN (Craig Slater, is it?) saying something along the lines of 'thankfully there were no protests'.

If by 'get away with it' you mean 'not cause medium term irreversible climate change', then no I don't think we can. I think humans will continue to use the oil and it will continue to have a negative effect on the environment.

Certainly if compared with the F1 crowd, not to mention the speeding cars. I mean snooker, tennis, cricket, Chelsea flower show - not exactly renowned for hard core response are they? If they were going to disrupt the cricket they would have had a tougher gig at Edgbaston or Headingley. All they would expect at Lords is a few in 'scrambled egg' ties choking on their pints
