If only we had a credible opposition [emoji2371]

I think the first step is to recognise this is an awful government and we need to do something about it.
The 'you may think we're bad, but imagine what the alternative would be like' tory chant is wearing a bit thin now.....

What we really need is an opposition party.

What we really need is an opposition party.

Whether or not we are impressed with the official opposition, to recognise the immense failings of what we have is a more proactive start. People have a voice, if not a 'say' at the moment. It is the government that has the power and it is the government that needs to be held to account first and foremost, whether by opposition of by voters, starting with local elections......

I'm starting to think that Johnson is toast, too much shit and sleaze for even him to shake off this time.

Under Corbyn, Abbott etc Labour were not credible.

Under Starmer they are credible.

Starmer does have the charisma of Johnson but we need to decide what we want. A serial liar or boring guy that will get on with governing

A lot of parallels with Trump and Biden

Carry on with Johnson and we won't have a country left

I've never voted for Labour but if I was in a seat where they could win they'd get my vote.

I totally agree, Sir Kneel and that ginger woman are a liability to Labour, they should of gone with

Maybe, maybe not... but keeping to the subject of the thread and getting our priorities right, we need to call out the people in power first.

I wouldn't bet on it. He has been working for over a year to ensure there are many 'stakeholders' (a.k.a cronies) who are beholden to him.

Tories have no morals, if he is doing well in the polls they will keep him

Johnson has no morals and will carry on as long as the mystery donors plug the Telegraph columnist financial short fall.

I have to disagree sadly, he hasn't united the party and the public are a bit mixed on him. I think Lammy would be better

I do like Lammy, a decent public servant that is genuinely intouch with people...

The Mustique holiday is still being investigated and I think there is an on-going investigation by the Greater London Authority about his relationship with Jennifer Arcuri.

The IOPC (Independent Office for Police Conduct) cleared him of criminal behaviour but said he would have "wise" to declare the relationship and he may have breached the Nolan principles for standards in public life.

Incidentally, the Conservative party picked up his legal tab on the basis the allegation was "politically" motivated.

Hate to be the one having to ask "that question", but would Britain elect a black man as PM? On the evidence I've seen over the last few years I'm unconvinced.

Oh, so it's her fault that you had to very emphatically and vociferously vote for Johnson's Brexit and then vote for Johnson's Government and it has finally started to dawn on you what you have actually voted for :dunce:

(should have)

Thought the mystique of Mustique would come up again some day.

I think it's fairly safe to say the Mail is definitely not on Team Johnson anymore.
