atmosphere at the bridge:nono:,how you going mate?

I was allways led to believe it was a bit of a souless place but I was well surprised at the atmosphere there was there, Maybe it's because we were right behind the goal a couple of rows back that helped make us feel more in touch with it. It gave me that real feeling of football supporting I hav'nt felt since the days of being crammed behind the goal in the North Stand of the Goldstone.

May I just say that my Premiership ground of choice surely has to be Craven Cottage? It still looks like a good old fashioned English football ground, and they're selling tickets for the Wigan game for a tenner on Saturday.

OK, not exactly GLAMOUROUS but probably one of their most important games of the season.

As has been said, West Ham CHEATED their way to Premiership status, their squad is chock full of TWATS so they represent a very poor choice.

Far from it Lokki, Little bulldog has done his fair share of following the Albion home and away so it's only right I return the favour.

But you CAN pick and choose which team your kiddie supports. Brainwash them from a very young age, make sure they wear the Albion strip when playing footie and take em to Withdean and make very sure that they know that supporting a premiership side is NOT on the cards and not really supporting a proper team anyway.

Job done.

On the terraces!!
the best "proper" team in the premiership, and i hate to say it, is Pompey.

Amazing old fashioned ground, close to the pitch, f***ing great atmosphere EVERY game no matter what the score, a roof over the away end now, never say die attitude......

.....f*** it, i'm off i think i've converted myself!! :)

i agree dude - apart from the home games bit - take them to all the AWAY game so they can see decent ground while following Brighton, and enjoy a good atmosphere!! ;)

I have access to free chelsea tickets for any home game,I live a few hundred yards from the stadium and I still hardly ever go to games. Just can't get excited about a team I don't support.

I tried all that Buzzer and I even had him signed up for the junior seagulls at one stage but none of it worked, It's still all chelsea chelsea chelsea with him, Even last season when I sent him to brighton to buy our match tickets he still managed to walk in Albion club shop wearing his Chelsea shirt. :thud:

It's become a classic example of " if you cant beat em join em "

So, you'd quite happily pay your hard earned watching FULHAM v WIGAN at Craven Cottage because it's an old fashoined stadium?

It's a very poor choice for whom exactly................... you obviously.

Wetsam v Man city....................... glamorous

Jeez, I'm taking my daughter to a decent game in a decent stadium for once.

Plus that fact that it would be fifteen quid to get in for me and my 6 year old.

A good assumption that, since I was the one that wrote it.

She'll never come back to the Albion now. :(

For me to get over to Fulham would cost me plus that, plus the hassle.

Agreed.

She'll never come back to the Albion now. :(

She's Albion through and through, no need to worry about that. Treasures her signed shirts.

Whichever way you look at it, Withdean does not give the kids that feeling I had at the goldstone. The Noise and the atmosphere. I want her to experience that before Falmer arrives.

I hear you there mate. I took my young kids to Withers last season and they were bored stiff - we won 4-1 too. I'm know I'm not alone in sitting patiently waiting for Falmer to be built before buying season tickets for the whole family. I know that, because I've 6 or 7 friends doing exactly the same thing.

tip top and Bulldog you've nothing to reproach yourselves for.

I do disagree with Bulldog on one thing though, it IS possible to steer your offspring towards a particular club. When it was obvious that my son was showing an interest in the Premiership I made him a Newcastle fan and we regularly go and see them play. Well, we did but fortunately they've been so shit this year that he hasn't wanted to go so much! The away game at Chelsea is coming up soon and we usually go to that, but this year he doesn't want to!
