The Albion fans were great until the completely over the top abuse of Davies after he missed the sitter.

I think the lad is being blamed for the whole seasons f*** up,yes he has not managed to exactly bang them away, but i have too admit i felt a little sorry for him today.

I consider myself to be a reasonable human being, and to lower myself to subject a individual to such abuse thats not warranted would basicly make me as bad as those that chose to vilify davies, farrington, fraser, the list goes on,on a matchday i prefer to support my team even if they are playing like a shower of shit,so surnames of players do not change how i choose to express my opinions of players from the saftey of the stands,im sure those who slag off week after week would no doubt say it to the players face in the street.

Of course not but singing "What a waste of money" is hardly going to help is it.

It wasn't just that he missed - it was because he didn't seem to have any idea what he was expected to do when in a position where he could hardly miss. He seemed to absolutely shit himself when the ball somehow found its way too him with a great gaping goal in front of him. It was by far the most apalling 'effort' at goal I have ever witnessed. The guy should not play again this season; he has no belief and I wonder if there was ever any talent there either.

Whilst the abuse he got isn't going to help, he isn't goind to do anything this season anyway, he simply hasn't got the balls for it.

however disappointed and frustrated i feel about an Albion player's performance i could never resort to booing a Brighton player. They do care but the team is simply not good enough. Although the booing was quite loud it seemed to come from a group of 14 - 20 year olds (you know who you are) many of whom attend most matches and post on here. You are probably feeling guilty now.

Given that we were allocated 4,000 seats I find it hard to believe there were less than 3,500 of us there - there was only a handful of empty seats.

Pretty much the same as the Madjeski, but the top tier hasnt had the seats installed yet.

Deffinatly a premiership quality ground.

Seemed far better than the madjeski to me, far more space... But then I didnt like the madjeski. Give me London road any day.

Passion and desire has been throughly ripped out of this club, the team didn't look together they looked like individuals. Whingy is the only player who gives 110% every single game, god knows why we haven't offered him a new contract. Owusu and Davies can't play together and why is it the only solution of hoofing the ball up to Owusu and him trying to win flick ons and hold the ball up, when he can't do either. The two guilt edge chances he missed was a total disgrace, but the worst miss was from Barndoor Davies in the second half, the abuse he got was throughly deserved.

The booing of Davies did go too far, but there were times when I thought that my son's team that I played against on Friday night were more composed in front of goal than he is (they're U12s).

By far the best way to let the players know that they are underperforming was the singing of Whingy wonderland - which I fully joined in with. If only we had 11 Whing's or at least 11 players with his commitment, we'd be alright. I really don't think any of the loan players or those brought in during this season really give a toss any more. And it seems that Slade has no idea how to make them into a team.

The MK fans deserved our players today. It's a shame they're ours.

Quality ground (when they finish it), the seats were more comfy than the cinema! Top support (until the abuse aimed at Davies for missing a chance a 5-year-old/Emile Heskey would have tucked away). Team? Don't even get me started. That's it for this season now, until the buggers go and win on Tuesday and get my hopes up again...

Agreed about the Winghy wonderland chant. That was quality, and great to see Whing acknowledge it modestly with a little applause. That's a positve way to send out a message and one I was happy to join in with. I must confess that I had little sympathy for Davies today though. I don't agree with slating a player like that but I'm convinced that, sadly, he just isn't good enough. I'm not going to criticise Slade as I think the chant of "sack the team" probably hit the nail on the head today. I really haven't felt as negative about the team as I did today :(

Lovely stadium from the inside btw, but wasted on them there fans.

I think the abuse aimed at davies came really at a time, when it was obvious that MKD were strolling around and we as fans were getting more and more frustrated.

He was put through and for a moment was one on one.....swinging his boot and skying it way over the bar.

the problem is that Davies has been touted as the player who was going to carry us out of this mire....unfortunately, he is not that player.

he plays without confidence and without guile. He is not an out and out striker, but is expected to do so as Owusu is basically a big lump up front. Trouble is at the moment, we need fighters, people who will give their all for the cause.......by his whole manner, davies does not appear to be that man....unfotunately

Agreed - the abuse was completely out of order imo, it made me embarrassed to be a Brighton fan when they did that

It's so easy to criticise a player who is severely lacking confidence, and it isn't suddenly gonna make him play better is it, especially when we need him to perform!

He looked a decent propect when he first arrived but got injured an was rushed back before he was ready, now after all the abuse he gets, an that he must be feeling so down after a few bad misses has destroyed what all strikers thrive on confidence. A confident player doesn't think about the chance and just does what he needs to do, an unconfident player takes extra touches, hesitates and then tends to missmore than they should, its the same for all players.

shows we have some fans who are completely clueless about football matters, including player psycology, the team have had to suffer abuse all season because some fans think it helps the side perform, but the reality is that you end up with a poorly performing team.

I started this thread with my view on the team performance - the view on the fans came from my 12 year old son who said that they were wrose than the team. Second half the fans let themselves down with teh abuse of Davies

I've never felt comfortable in the verbal abuse of players, and although Davies is crap, it was OTT. However if it was me, rather than sulk, I would be determined to go out in the next game, try my hardest and score to stick to fingers up to the moaners. I don't expect him to do that though.

FFS people what a bunch of pussies. The guy needs to grow some bollocks. If the guy has any he will think " I will shove those chants back down their throats " , he will step up to the plate and prove himself. He has a glorious job playing football once or twice a week, training for a few hours 4 times a week and getting paid £ 3000 a week or so. He needs to grow a thicker skin and all this namby pamby " oh wasn't it terrible he was abused ", get a grip. It goes with the territory. He has costs us a lot of points with his misses, what are we supposed to do, give him a cuddle.

My remedy for him if he feels hard done by is to watch the first 25 minutes of Saving Private Ryan and watch men younger than him not even get out of the landing crafts before being shot to pieces or going over the side and drowning trying to get their back packs off. A reality check it is called.

People are having a very tough time at the moment trying to keep a roof over their heads and he gets £ 3000 a week to kick a ball around and has a pampered lifestyle so sorry I am not in the " it was out of order " camp.
