A quote from the bbc website
“ I told the club already in November," said Klopp, who has announced his decision with his side top of the Premier League.

Never seen November as Summer…but these days who knows 😉

i saw some reporting as summer. but yes. he says November in the video.

The report I saw included this quote from Klopp: “When we sat there together talking about potential signings, the next summer camp and can we go wherever, the thought came up: ‘I am not sure I am here then any more,’ and I was surprised myself by that. I obviously start thinking about it."

I suspect the fact he realised his own awareness while talking about summer camps was the source of the confusion.

Rumour from a Liverpool work colleague is that he’s thrown a strop and quit. Apparently Liverpool have signed up to a Netflix series and he was dead against it, so he’s walked.

Alonso 2.63
Lijnders 4
You've got to be kidding * 6.5
DeZerbi 8.5

*Gerrard. I'm assuming some lunatic has put a few quid on him
Lijnders 4 ?

Who does research for them?

Pep Lijnders, will leave Liverpool this summer thus ruling himself out of taking the top job Anfield.

I’m not convinced that he has the credentials for the Liverpool job, nor do I think that the
Liverpool players will warm to the changes he might make to their set up, nor do I think Liverpool supporters would accept someone who has won nothing.
RDZ needs to get a few trophies on his cv before a big club goes for him.

Not worried at all

But I personally think Real will want Alonso and make the position available and Liverpool and Madrid will have a tug of war over him in the summer, which could go either way.

De Zerbi could come into the picture, but all the time Liverpool will know that they will likely have to pay dearly for us to release him from his contract. They may conclude an out of work manager, or one at a club cheaper to poach from, might be a better option
Ancelotti has literally just signed a new contract at Real.

Jim White has had to put an emergency order in for more lubricant.

Nipped out at lunch and had TS on the radio. Jim is acting like he is dead.

I spose "Man quits stressful job after 9 years" doesn't have the same hyperbole.

Here's a flavour in just 5 minutes where every last ounce was milked out of it :

"Significant day for football all over the world"
"Great man"

Then Jimmy Corkhill came on the radio and cried.

Good grief

Re RDZ. Don't think you can underestimate the performances against them last year. That will have been noticed and often for people who aren't truly football men that can be a big factor. But right now Alonso has to be huge, huge favourite though.

Although RDZ leaving would be a great loss he’s eventual leaving is a certainty.

Todays Klop leaving at the end of the season with his comment that the Liverpool board had been informed of his intention to leave back in November 2023 makes me wonder if the following might be in play.

1, RDZ and BHA not reaching an agreement on a contract extension
2, The sale of MaCallister and arrival Lallna and Milner
3, BHA already saying in a recent interview that a future coach has already been identified
4, RDZ has made a few comments recently that have been a little bit reminiscent of Poyet

If RDZ is to leave at the end of the season then it fits with my view of the man being a gentleman and not leaving mid season and Liverpool being a potential good fit, of the big teams Liverpool is the only one that has a history of patience from the board and fans alike towards any new coach.

Hopfully I am wrong afer all I have absolutely no evidence to support my points

Totally different scenario. Liverpool were an absolute mess after the Hodgson/Dalglish tenures and were a long way behind the elite in Europe at that time. Now they are possibly/probably the second best team in the world and recent PL/CL winners. There is no way they would appoint the 2012 Rodgers this time around.
