If you'd rather let him repeatedly make thinly veiled threats to people without allowing them to reply, you're empowering a (cyber) bully and making sure it continues. If even this post is unacceptable do what you see fit

I appreciate what you are saying, but all you do by rising to such posts is encourage the poster or worse. Please either deflate them with your rapier wit and cogent argument; ignore them in the hope that they will get bored and go away; or 'report' them so that we are made aware of it and can deal with it as necessary.

I thought that's what I was doing, guess my wit's not what it was. Reporting feels sneaky and ignoring a threat gives the impression it's worked. Which means it keeps happening - and it does, doesn't it?
