Probably and likewise for Duffy, Bong, Kayal, Rosenior, and Goldson who all made fewer apps than expected due to injury.
You're right, our squad suffers from injury more than most.

Ha ! You said that not me. I just don't know why only poor old Sam Baldock gets it in the neck for being *permanently* injured yet still manages to play a lot of games for us . 33 appearances last season. It can't be both.

i'm pretty sure the FA can't grant a work permit, surely that's a government thing? although a quick google suggests they do, odd

The FA issue them on the behalf of the Government. As a lot of the criteria for a work permit being issued is related to football directly the Government consider it a specialist area so allow the governing body to issue them instead.

Makes sense... except the article on the club website says it is the FA that have granted the Work Permit. Surely it's a formality to get the international clearance if they've been happy to do that... or is it the Colombian FA?

International clearance should come from the FA where his registration is currently held. So in this case it should be the Belgium FA.

It's basically a step to say that his registration was held by Brugge and they are satisfied the registration can be transferred to Brighton and registered with the English FA. It's more than likely slightly more detailed than that but it's basically what it's for.

To the tune of "lets go ****ing mental"

José Izquierdo, José Izquierdo lah lah lah lah, lah lah lah lah

Not NEARLY enough love being shown for this suggestion IMO.

Simple. Easy. Quality.

Any chant with a lalalalalalalalalalalalala just WORKS.

You honestly don't know why? He missed 16 of our games last season, but last season was his best. In his first season for us he missed over half the games. He's been injured a lot.

de der de der der de de der der der...

Which is FINE, because it IS a decent chant, and worked well for Will-ee-am-Buck-ley, and (slightly less well for) Ell-ee-ot-Ben-net, but the 'Let's all have a disco' one would be a nice pleasant CHANGE

You know it will actually be:

Ho-say, ho-say Is-Keer-doe
Runs down the wing for me....

How far back does that one go??! Elliot Bennett is as far as I remember.

Hoping for something FRESH for our record Premier League signing!!

PS I also like the lets go mental one
