Omg. What a player. What a man. Genuinely gutted to hear this news. He had, I believe, nephrotic syndrome. A disease which is serious, but rarely fatal, if contracted in childhood - my daughter and I both had it; but a disease which can be devastating if contracted in adulthood.

Same age as me, he said recently in an interview that he'd like to live to see his boys turn 21, his boys are just 6 and 5 (my boys are 5 and nearly 3) really rams it home for me.

Can remember him just ripping England apart in the 1995 World Cup, wingers just weren't meant to be that big and still be that fast. What a player.

RIP Jonah Lomu.

Such sad news, only 40. What a legend, we've never seen his like before or since. RIP Jonah.

Horrible news, a true legend.

Even if you didn't know anything about the game, you knew his name.

Rugby's first global superstar and changed the game forever. The word legend is often overused but Jonah was one..

RIP Jonah, such sad news for one so young. He will never be forgotten though for what he achieved.

Not a lover of Rugby but always switched on when this geezer was involved
Took the sport to a different level with his bulldozing
The Underwood brothers were like ants in his path
Apparently he was a gent too
