Nadine Dorries, who has always seemed weirdly in awe of him, resigned today too. If good news comes in threes who is next?

Next General Election, Boris would have been nothing but a disruptive force within the party as he angled once more for power, now he will be an irrelevance allowing unity within the party.

Getting rid of him now allows the Government to distance themselves further from his Premiership

So no
not the best news ever

you mean; rees mogg, kwarteng................. cameron, osborne........ CLEGG!
Oh, perhaps you weren't being facetious.

It has little to do with class, other than his class removed some of the barriers that might have restricted someone from a council estate becoming tory leader.

No, it is largely about the man being a conscience-free lazy carpet-bagging chancer, with one hand in the till and the other up someone's wife's skirt.

He will be waiting in the wings to save the day should labour win and the tories decide that Sunak was a bad choice.

Because this suits the fat prick's agenda, he will be a thorn in Sunak's side, no doubt heaping crocodile praise on him as the ballot looms and the tory tanking takes shape.

I can't click 'like' but you're right . . .every seat counts. The tories can't afford to carry toxic MP's.

My guess is, with Labour being so pathetic, and Greens and yellow votes growing, it will, potentially, give them a chance, thanks to our fair and balanced electoral system

That's the empty plinth sorted.

Hugely underrated as London Mayor.

I've read rumours up here TFL are planning to maim a bus after him.
Corrected for you. Top satire BTW

Unlike the feeble efforts of woke wanker (judging by the replies - I of course have JCFG on ignore), mocked on a thread he would be wise to avoid, after changing his user name after being the Prancing Ninny on the Brexit thread, his opening gambit there being racist.

That was another fall from grace it has been a pleasure to watch. In slow motion.

That Tory tanking is by no means a given and my view is that Johnson in parliament would make it more likely.

You may be right. You may be wrong. We shall never know.

@zefarelly thinks Starmer is 'pathetic' so perhaps it will be another five years of glorious conservative rule.

I think Starmer has a funny voice, and sounds like a slightly peevish physics teacher so, in this modern world of looks before substance, this means his rubbish policies (that he has failed yet again to announce) will be the ruin of labour and their so-called equality and socialism. Boo. Booo!

If only we had PR (partial representation) that would mean every voter gets a fair outcome, but stinky Starmer won't support this. Boo. BOOOO!

Good riddance to bad rubbish.

The liar leaves at last.

This. He is the phoniest of phonies.

I've been touched by Boris and I'm sure I'm not the only one.

Have some respect for those who are grieving tonight.
I think most people who have been touched by Johnson spend a long time in the shower trying to erase any remnant.

BBC News - Resignation statement in full as Boris Johnson steps down
Clearly has the same script writer as the orange version of himself.
The very thought that anyone would want him in any position of power again is absurd.
Just fade away, you utter **** and **** yourself with a large ***** until you struggle to stand again, you ******* ******

Some mainstream media commentators tonight are speculating that Boris has thrown in the towel to protect the myth.

I can assure you that some of us supporters above (like wankwonderer) have seen beneath the towel and there is no myth. He's sent me the photos.

For those worried about a hung parliament....
