Carragher would possibly win my vote for worst defender in the entire prem this season. We're talking Titus Bramble (at the height of his infamy) bad.

Don't let your Liverpool hatred cloud your usually sound judgement. Carragher is a sensible pick.

I said I wouldn't have Carragher cos of his book comments but I must say every time i've seen him this season he's looked shite. Having said that, in a 23 man squad his versitility will come in handy - ie anywhere accross the back line...

The only people I am going to find it hard to get behind are
John Terry, "Stevey G", Cashley Cole and Jamie Carragher.

No problem with the other 26, but I really don't like those 4.

Wanky nicknames aside, Gerrard is alright isn't he? He seems INCREDIBLY boring but a nice enough bloke.

Agree on the others though.

Depends on how much diving and performing better for your club than your country bothers you, and how much stock you put in rumours and tabloid gossip.

Maybe fixtures but John Terry's old man pleaded guilty to supplying cocaine yesterday.

He's looking at three years in the slammer.

Whenever he gets hauled over the coals for a shit England performance, he looks like he's about to cry and gives monotone interview answers that give the impression he blames the interviewer for it. I wish he'd just man up off the pitch, and wasn't so f***ing DULL.

I'm not sure that punching people in the FACE, in bars, is all that 'nice'...

Also, a good mate of my younger brother was playing for Havant when they got to Anfield in the FA Cup. He reported that Gerrard was an utter ARSE, after the game. Did not have any time for them at all.

And yes, he seems very very dull.

You couldn't possibly argue that he's had a better season than Dawson though could you?

No, but he is far from shot and has been one of the best defenders in Europe for the past decade. Dawson has been consistently shite until this season.

For a World Cup you need savvy and experience, not someone who has 0 caps and has had one decent season.

OK....but Carragher has been UTTER SH*T this season, agreed? He's been at fault for countless goals. I don't see why he is suddenly going to become better at FOOTBALL.

On this season's evidence, Carragher is far too slow to play right back for England.

Or Central defence.

I can't say I've seen much Premiership football this season, but who else is there to be a backup right back? The fact that people have been seriously talking about 35 year old Gary Neville sums up how bad the situation is, IMO. I'd rather have Carragher than Wes 'I'm a defender that can't actually defend' Brown.
