The Stranglers kicked the Sex Pistols into the long grass. Much better songs, much much better musicians, much better live act, far more intelligent, Cornwell and Burnel have degrees and much more attitude and attitude because they earned it. Burnel on Question Time would be much better.

There we will have to disagree....much as I dislike the Pistols, the Stranglers to me are always THAT band that everybody else thinks are great but they just completely passed me by, for me the dictionary definition of 'pedestrian'.

Indeed. Although "take class As and you'll turn into a Tory" is probably a more affective weapon in the war on drugs than "just say no".
