I was very impressed with him last night, strong and fast, our defence certainly had trouble dealing with him. At 6'2", 86kg a great target man and with that pace too, at 22 he might be worth considering, currently on loan from Bristol City.

Thought Daggers were very good, just shows, compared with Sheff Wed and they wages they must be on that paying players a load of money doesn't always mean better performers.

Well Brizzle must have a cuppla world-class strikers if they can afford to loan him out to Daggers, coz he was bleedin' awesome last night! Reminded me of a young Squirrel Regis...

Excellent show from him - El-Abd really struggled against him. Fact that he played as lone striker makes him even more impressive - I believe Gus should have a serious look at him - heaps better than Wood

I may be missing an obvious one, but I thought that was the best individual performance from an opposition player this season.

Strong, quick, direct, had a good strike.

Just a few times he didnt quite get his pass away but that could easily improve.

Not quite, but Nicky Maynard and Brett Pitman are two of the best front men outside of the Premier League, so maybe that's why he's not getting a look-in there.

Just looking at their squad, they also have Dave Clarkson from Motherwell, Jon Stead and Andy Keogh warming the bench so that's quite a few Championship-level attackers to compete with for a place.

He was superb last night, and gave the two centre halves no end of trouble. Seemed to have bullish strength and decent pace as well as a decent strike, so more than a few attributes required to be a top quality striker.

Few harsh critcism's of Wood. He has been poor since his International return, but his a very promising player and only 19, I think he has a bright future whether thats with us or somewhere else remains to be seen. My thoughts are he needs a really strong end of the season to tempt Gus to come back to him.

He was qualla in his build up play not sure about his finishing though. Danny Green (7) is the one to take a look at

Liked - or rather didn't like - the way that he was keeping Ankergren and El Abd occupied at the far post, so someone else could meet the pretty decent corners that were being pinged in from Green. They certainly play to their strengths, the Daggers.

agree with that...after seeing both games he looked dangerous everytime he was on the ball...that would be an amazingly attacking midfield of Noone, Bennett and Green! Bridcutt might get lonely

Last time we took a 19 year old striker from a Bristol club...well...it could happen again!

cough *Michael Ricketts* one good game doesn't make anyone world-class, it's proven over time - I'd rather have Andy Keogh from city who has scored goals at every league level and at international level.

Didn't impress me so much when he visited with Bristol Rovers earlier in the season. Must admit I thought Jon Nurse would be the player everyone'd be raving about - looked really lively down that left hand side in the first half. Or maybe I was getting them muddled.
