Incase anyone cares, Joey Barton has been refused bail as in remanded in custody until 16th January when he is set to appear in court.

Looks like the end of his career.

Good. Little prick.
Won't be the end of his career though. Some club will put morality aside if it suits them, when the time comes. See Lee Hughes for more details.

I can't show any form of sympathy when you have it all yet you just abuse the situation.

Not a fan of his....but not quite sure why he was refused bail.

Personally I dont buy this 'role model' thing with footballers, I would be disappointed if my Son thought that a famous person should in someway be a role model for him !!

Anyway, if as is likely a bloke started giving him and his friends almighty abuse, maybe just maybe he deserved to get a whack, do we know if he was attacked first ??

Now if you wanna tell me he is a bad professional, might be, but you dont go jail for it, do you ?

I agree with BigGully..

I think his Man City team mate was asking for it too.

And that youth teamer whose eye he used as an ashtray.

And that 15 year old Everton fan he smacked.

Yep seems a pratt to me too, but what happened ther other night ??

In all seriousness, in terms of the law, any punishment should clearly be in line with the correct sentence for whatever happened on the particular night.

He is clearly an utter c*nt though, and I hope the damage to his career caused by all this is significant. Its not just off-field either - he's no angel on it.

He's a little arsewipe, offered a way out of a crappy life by a god-given talent, and hell-bent on wasting it.

he was already on bail for two other offences/cases pending trial and the magistrate ruled that the risk of him reoffending again and being a risk to the public was too high.

but they are going to crown court this afternoon with further info so he might be home in time for tea yet.

the other boy (his brother?) charged with him on the exact same charge was free to walk.

Look I dont know whether he is a nasty bastard or not, but it does look likely he is....but

I saw him on Soccer am and he came across quite well.

Its obvious he cannot be trusted on a night out because he probably is baited and he reacts.

I honestly do not think we have a clue what provocation top footballers can get, whereever they are.

I dont accept that just because he came from an estate that he had a crappy life.

And there's no way he has a 'god given talent', he's an example of how limited natural talent with a great desire to succeed can lead to a successful career.

You gotta remember that I was about in the 80's when our own Brighton players were lively around the nightspots of Brighton, what they all got up to jeeeeeeeeeeeeez.

Is he an arsewipe....................yeah probably.

Now, now, boys and girls.

We all know that we mustn't condemn the little shit until after he's been found guilty.

Thought that might provoke you ..... :D

I guess you aint gonna try and tell me that he was in Mcdonalds doing voluntary work the LB !!

Happy New Year :)

Barton shouldn't worry - West Ham will no doubt buy him to join Bowyer and Bellamy in an unholy trinity.

It must have something to do with the letter 'B'.

I wonder if they'll try and sign Bas thinking he's got a head start since he's already savage...
