Astonishing to hear Joel say that. If you read this forum over the last few days you’d think we were 41 points adrift at the bottom of the league, losing by 7 goals every week, he was surrounded by players who make Ali Dia look like he actually is George Weah and we were coached by the single worst manager in the entire history of football. Oh, and the fans sit in silence at every home game playing on their phones rather than watching the game.
That's only the yoof in the North and the ESU. Oh, and ESL.

I bumped into one of the players in McDonald's last night. they told me that if it werent for FH Joel would already have signed, for free and bought Van Dyke and Gakpo with him to play for us.

its obvious when you think about it.

Fab out!!

Positive thread immediately descends into negativity about the manager - you really can't make this shit up :ROFLMAO:

I might start a new post saying that I've just won £100k on the lottery and I would expect 90% of the responses to have something to do with FH in them :p
That`s because we support the team FH is currently running into the ground .

Yet, as one of the more senior players, he’s so happy to stay here despite the manager, the dressing room having been lost, the lack of tactics………….
Or maybe he has been around long enough to see which way the wind is blowing , Joel is one of the senior players whose opinion will matter to Tony .

Players are always crediting their "gaffer" , Joel`s no one`s mug if he left him out it was for a reason .
He didn’t mention the fans, so he has a problem with us does he? Or was it just a throw away comment where he didn’t mention every single individual connected to the club. Cant believe people are trying to make this into a negative. 🤦‍♂️

Not a negative just an observation .

"There is another option in the contract. In the coming weeks we will see how we will fill that in. There is no hurry.”

"How do I see it myself? It's a real option to sign. I'm very happy here. I feel the appreciation of the owner, to the players and the people and volunteers who work here. I'm in my place."

"Yes, it is definitely an option to end my career here. This is my second home. I lived in Amsterdam and in Brighton during my career"

Brighton fans 30 seconds before Joel signs new contract!

Dropped as in not starting him. Coming on as sub is a completely different thing.
Started in 4/6 appearances in Europe, started in 17/29 appearances in the league. That's starting 60% of the time he was involved.

In comparison, Joao Pedro started in 64% of the games he was involved in last year. I really can't see your argument here. Before this season, he's been a sensationally talented and integral part of our squad, that has been rotated with others to maintain fitness. This year, partly because of injury, partly because of a lack of squad options, he has been relied upon much heavier by the manager. That's all there is to it.

Weirdly, the Albion subreddit seems to think he's our worst player and we should get rid. I've got people calling me mad for saying he's been our best player this season

Regardless of other's injury/rotation, Fab just about always starts Joel.
It's the law now, as it should be

Yes, completely agree. He's very reliant on him and thankfully he's been mostly fit this season. In the system we currently play, he fits perfectly.

To hammer home the point of my reply, I don't think there is any evidence to say RDZ dropped him inexplicably. Joel is great and has been important to all the managers he has played under at the Albion.
