Brightened up a miserable game at Blues when he came on as sub for Kaz(?).About the only good thing the dim Finn did while he was at Albion.Him and Knocky would frighten any team to bits!

Yes from me. A technically very, very good player. Bit lightweight, but an extra option for us. Remember (for the few saying no) it's a squad game. One of the few bright sparks of that season under Sami.

I'm sure he went to Porto for peanuts too - like 300k - so would be a snip if we bought him in sure. There was even an article in the local Liverpool rag about why he went for so cheap...

I'd hope he was an option from the bench to change the game or to hold onto a lead and punish oppositions when they are pressing us with his individual skills and pace

We wouldnt be changing the system as he would play in SB position.

He's not a suitable replacement for Bakdock IMO. He's a no.10 and he is untried and untested as a striker, the position we actually need more depth in.

Teixeira ought to be a reasonable solution for the Baldock Mk2 role. Certainly offers the guile and movement to compliment Murray / Hemed.

Hopefully JT will have toughened up a bit, as he used to get a battering from defenders. On the other hand he used to win some handy free kicks in dangerous areas.

It was a free transfer and Porto had to pay £250k in compensation as he was a young player.

If imagine if it was loan to buy it wouldn't be much more than that then as he's clearly not done much there...

Very skilful. Shone in a shit team, liked it here. Decent squad addition so a yes from me but not the nippy striker/Balders cover we need.

Seems like the exact opposite to a Hughton player.

I agree

Good player as Texiera is he doesn't do the defensive work that would probably be expected of him. There used to be a player played for Spurs and joined CH Reserve team to begin with when he first signed. I seen some of his early games and thought. WOW - Absolutely brilliant player to watch and was surprised he never really made it at Spurs.

It was pointed out to me the reason why he never really made it at Spurs in words similar to '' Great footballer but You need one ball on the pitch to play the game and another for Jose because he never passes it'' Jose Dominguez was his name. Anyone remember him ?

Knocky was criticised by Leicester fans for the same but CH seems to have educated him. Maybe he thinks he can do the same with Tex.

Maybe............................... I don't think those positions need touching in January though. Attacking central midfielder and perhaps a quick striker would really be the only finishing touches needed. Not a player who might be a striker in the making.

Whoever comes in might only be needed for a few months. Personally I would look for a loanee striker. I would love to see a fit Aroune Kone but his injury record is awful

Said it before and I'll say it again - I don't see the point in buying a no.10 when we play 4-4-2. Tex doesn't fit into CH's current system so unless he changes the system that has proven so effective it'd be a bit pointless. We need a pacey striker (an upgrade or an understudy for Baldock) not a number 10.

Say it as often as you like, but he'd still be welcomed back by a large number of us. No.10, second striker, or in a 4-4-1-1 system - yes please!

I know he'd be welcomed back. I'd cheer him on like everyone else but I still don't think he's what we need.

This with bells on, If it is true I am 100% sure Chris has either sanctioned this or actually targeted him.

Let's be honest, take a look at the table how many of us thought we would be in this position again ? Not many, I know didn't...

But what I know is worth feck all, the man who is responsible is Big Chris and if Big Chris is happy I now believe he can bring the best out of him....

Ohh. A little bit of sex wee came out then.
Him and Knockheart on the pitch at the same time? I don't think the opposition defences are going to be looking forward to that.
