Now there’s a name from my childhood. I can remember my dad marvelling at him and Dexter at the Manor Ground in Worthing when they used to do a Sussex cricket week.
I received my first cricket award from Jim Parks 32 years ago at a dinner in the Trevor at Glynde.
He spoke fondly of Sussex and was very committed to the county.
His career ended before my time, having spent three years at Somerset. Still playing in his forties, as some did. A man of Sussex though. And a long time servant.
RIP Sunny.
Was the oldest surviving English Test cricketer.
Tony Greig came a bit later. Parks, Dexter and Snow were in the same '60s side.
No, they all played together

Thanks for the correction and interesting link. All four won't have played much in the same side as Dexter retired in 1965 with a brief, unsuccessful comeback in 1968 and Grieg started in 1966. I thought he started later than that. So it can only have been in 1968 when all four were in the same team, but in the same team indeed they were. 1960s memories of Parks, Dexter and Snow together at the County Ground and Lords in and winning the Gillette Cup remain vivid.
Some NAMES in there. The sort of Championship games we needed a new autograph book for.
And not a mention of his passing on the BBC Cricket Webshite. Lots of stuff about T20 of course...
