I think a wage of 10 million plus a year may be a challenge on top of the big gamble as to whether he would fit in here.
Do you honestly believe he'd command a wage of 190k per week?!!

Really can't see it myself. He's barely played since the turn of the year for a team that has scraped survival.

He was reported(!) to be on around this at Nottingham Forest.

Apparently the wage he stole from Forest last season whilst contributing very little from what I gather.

I see absolutely no set of circumstances that brings him back to the Albion.

He started off well for West Ham but gradually became less and less effective. Most West Ham fans were delighted so see the back of him by the end of the season.

He's crap. No thanks.
Not the ones I know they didn’t. West Ham tried to sign him twice too, once straight after the loan, and again when he became a free agent.

None of the West Ham fans I know rated him, except in the first few games for them where he was brilliant.

As for their efforts to sign him, it sounds like how we just "tried to sign" Levi Colwill. They clearly weren't serious (or only considered him a squad player/back up), certainly the second time when he had no club.

9 goals and 4 assists in 16 appearances. Did they boo him off? :lolol:

May well end up like Walcott.... exciting and promising potential that kind of fizzled out.
Build the big bucks sitting on benches.

He’ll either end up at Burnley, Sheffield Utd or Luton - failing that he’ll go to the MLS (probably Inter Miami)

Time to dig up the dead for another round of mockery?

And I wonder sometimes why I put people on ignore*

Have we not yet established he's not the full ticket? Have we not? Have we?

This thread is beginning to appear to be against the laws of human nature.

*No, to be fair, I don't.

A dreadful waste of the talent he clearly had as a youngster.

Neither of them are blessed with an idyllic backstory.

And this has been done to death. It has nothing to do with 'waste'. It is sad.
