This time a year ago I think we'd just been whooped 0-3 by Burnley in a shocking performance after getting beat by Villa 0-2 in the game before. We then went on to get beat by Newcastle, Liverpool, and Spurs scoring zero goals in the process. We were turd in that period. It was only when Potter realised he had a player called Caceido on his bench that we managed to find some form at the end of the season and gave us the blessing that handed us Roberto in convincing Chelsea he was some sort of messiah.
It does make you wonder how GP didn’t notice how good Caicedo was in training.

It's not good news as I believe he is the best option for Lallana's cover (I prefer AliMac alongside Caicedo), so with him and Lallana both out, I think it does leave us short of cover in that area beyond Ali

He might be the best Mitoma back-up too.
You may well be right. I don't know, having seen very little of any of them but have thought all along that Enciso and Buonanotte were the wide cover. But this may be simply that I consider them young and lightweight for that role in the middle and Sarmiento being more used to the physicality.

I can't remember but was it RDZ or GP played March there ?

This.

He’s had about 0.5% impact on our league season.
I wonder how/if clubs actually quantify a players impact on the season beyond the obvious metrics.

Off the top of my head he got an assist for Ferguson at Everton and Mitoma against Bournemouth. The Bournemouth assist was huge but what about the Everton one? It got Evan his second consecutive goal and sparked the rout. What effect did that have on the team/ferguson mentally? I dunno!

Whilst he's clearly a good player and will hoepfully be a star for us in future, lets not get too anxious over his temporary loss.

He's only played 169 PL minutes so far this season...
And Adingra and Kowalski coming back. Big season for Jeremy.
We are moving forwards so quickly.

A big season for Jeremy most certainly, and hopefully if he can put this persistent injury problem behind him he can move on and try and stake his place in the team.

With all of the extra games in what we all hope will be a lenghty campaign in Europe, the opportunities will certainly be there.

I think he's going to have a great season this year. He's been unlucky but there is a superb player in there. This is the year he needs to push on and develop.

Pictures of him on his Instagram doing some strength training on his hols.
Great potential talent and an important player in terms of the Spanish speaking contingent, as his English is obviously better than the majority.

He recovered well from his knee injury & playing well then was unlucky to break a bone in his foor while on international duty, hardly a persistent injury problem.
